Just had a storm pop up to our east, thunder, but no rain yet. It might miss us.

We got .61” so far, guess that wasn’t a miss.

Ken, I remember those commercials even had a couple as a kid.

Amazing I had’t destroyed earlier as I rarely remove regardless what I’m doing. Being left handed and on my left wrist likely doesn’t help. Still not sure when/ how I broke it, but noticed it after removing the BX filter underneath previous day. I had even dabbed some clear nail polish on it that evening, but apparently that didn’t work. Guess I shouldn’t complain almost 4 years for a free watch.

Sounds like the boys had a good time.

was hunting some fun ground coffee on Amazon and decided to try something entirely new
Puerto Rican coffee
real question is how fresh is it.
what Wngsprd roasts, grinds and then brews must be at another level.
like a much better wine

seems like the only lower priced coffees are the big cans of major brands, like Folgers or Maxwell House
I call that the wood chip coffee. It often tastes like it was made of wood chips...
and if you look closely at the coffee itself you see a lot more chaff mixed in. It's cheaper for a reason I'm sure.

do any of you have a favorite coffee?
one you drink as a treat?
My memory is that some high mountain Guatemalan coffee was the best tasting
coffee I've had.
Expresso is too strong for me.
But I did like Lavazza, but not their expresso.
Europeans must have hair on their chests...

I've tried to save money with the least expensive stuff, I always shop by cost per pound, and since my friend is in
the business and I know what this stuff costs wholesale, let's say the stuff in the grocery store has quite a markup.

Good Afternoon Drew,
Im not very exciting when it comes to coffee ! We use a Keurig and usually buy the French Roast ! I usually only have one cup per day, but as a treat I sometimes go to Starbucks for a regular brew with one sugar and cream !

Thanks Paul. I increased the temp to 225°. I'm planning on wrapping it in butcher paper at the stall. Do you increase the temp at the stall?.

There are many opinions on this, I won’t go into them, I’ll just stick to what works for me.
Pit constant target 225~230, don’t wrap, but do put a water pan (full size chafer pan) in for the entire cook. Just wait out the stall. Commercial pit masters like Aaron Franklin will use a higher temperature like 275 and wrap to save time, I just wait.

67°F and .23 inches rain.

Plan was to finish the inside mowing but would have to dry out first.

Might watch some football. No strong loyalties as for team. Might look at local boy Tua or Mariota if they can stay healthy. Guess I could go back to Patriots now that TB retired.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day
