Popgadget we had a tree like that on fire burning inside the hollow trunk. Burned for weeks

Today paper work and bill paying, clean up after camp fire, nurse my knee

Newb, you are right, the other knee have knee cap issues so the knee may have been overused. I think the tall step ups on the equipment may be the culprit.

Kyle, the citrus trees will be mobile..... potted and placed on movable bases. They will overwinter inside. At the old house, wifey had grapefruit, 2 orange trees, and a lemon and a lime. They lived in the sunroom. The most delicious fruit. Anyone ever had a sweet lemon? ---- you could eat them like oranges....

Scootr, hope you get some moisture, but not too much.... I have seen / heard predictions all over the place.... from a half inch to 3+ inches in SoCal. Can you set up a big fan and blow some our way?

Ken, hope the son has a great experience with the 'new' band. Hard to say goodby to good friends.

Another day of unknown agenda.... except for monitoring the drip system. Might tackle a job along the back driveway.... need to install some 4x4 border between the driveway and the trees. Then spread the last of the gravel to a small area up against the border. Then mulch around the trees. For some reason I have been procrastinating doing this..... I'm sure the heat has something to do with that...

good breakfast over the other side of the mountain, then we chatted a good while. Mountains here are really hills. Stopped at a country stand and picked up large cantaloupe and
watermelon, then drove thru some back country roads. Tree kind of hides this old log house.

Successful day yesterday with lots of sitting on my butt. Actually my butt on concrete to be at level to work on the skimmers. Guessing that over the years the pipes had accumulated enough stuff to hamper the flow, but with a bit of ingenuity I think I prevailed. Water flow is back where you can actually see it moving again. Hopefully pool will stay cleaner again.

Not sure what will keep me occupied today, no shortage of candidates.

Thomas, when's a good time to see leaves up your way? We are talking about a trip up to at least RI in september, would like to swing up to at least southern Maine or NH area.

Quite the experience Drew. I don’t think of myself as claustrophobic, but doubt I could have handled that either. Wonder if they offer something calming? As I recall when Sophie got her lasik years ago they prescribed some pill to ensure being relaxed.
