63F and foggy here on Deer Isle. Stormy overnight. Gusty wind and waves of rain.

I saw something I haven't seen before. A lobster boat ran into the cove flying a black on black Stars and Stripes. I looked it up. It is supposed to mean No quarter.I still don't know what it is supposed to mean.

Our nephew and his family came to visit Wednesday. They have to boys, 3 and five. Kind of windy for boating so we played on the beach. fun afternoon. Lobster for dinner and blueberry pie.

Next week we will make a couple of trips to the airport then my wife and I will pack up and head south. I fear we will find hot and humid when we get back to Lancaster. Maine sure is a nice place to spend the summer.

Don, would you say you are getting used to the heat?

No, it feels hotter every day. I can tolerate it only for short periods of time. A cool off break is needed every 30 minutes in the afternoon. Of course 80 degrees feels cool now.

Good Morning.
It’s 63 and might just make it to 80 today under a clear sky.
A big improvement over yesterdays rain.we got just under an inch spread out through the day.

Thanks everyone for the anniversary well wishes. We didn’t do much except go out to breakfast and hang out with Zoe. Thought about going out to dinner, but we lacked the motivation.

I did have to get some stuff done for the FAA and put the trash and recycling out, but those were the only chores that got done.

Today is another trip to Martha’s Vineyard, I’ll spend as much time driving back and forth to the airport as I will going to the island and back.
Not much planned after that, we are going to see Asleep at the Wheel at the Sellersville Theater this evening. It’s about a 400 seat venue, a great place to see a show. We have front row center seats, along with 10 friends, so it will be a great time.

I looked it up too Chris very confused seems black Stars and Stripes showed up in civil war. No quarter is a mariners term best guess the boat will not surrender to whatever. Perhaps people smarter than me can make more sense of this

Wife woke me up yelling, come look, come look. A hot air balloon was landing across the road. Couldn’t get a good pic, camera focused on the screen
67° out. Sun coming up. Dew on everything. Almost chilly sitting on porch.
Sore from the RV washing.
Had to peak inside to see the temperature on the weather station. My phone app is hung on 2 days ago. If I reboot the weather station it starts updating again.

Mowed the front lawn, what a mess ! Supposed to dry out tomorrow so will drop the deck a bit and re mow this mess ! This is what happens when it rains every other day !
