So, how much would "some" be, added to your fuel?
I remember it smelling rather sweet and pleasant, using it in air tools.

MMO mix ratio is 4oz to 10 gallons of gas, I add 2oz to each of my 5 gallon cans I use for transport before I fill them. I put the MMO into an old Stabil bottle to make it easier to measure. At home I fill my smaller 1 gal. cans from the 5 gal. cans so every engine gets a dose of MMO including the 2 stroke engines. Even my SIL has started adding MMO to his cans since seeing what using it has done for me.

In the late 1990s/early2000s, the MMO jug said it could be used as a fuel stabilizer (among the other claims), and the mixture it called for was exactly the same ratio as STA-BIL. I can't prove this was the case as my bottle from then is long gone.

The longer story --- it must have been very early 2000s when I ran out of the first bottle of STA-BIL I ever bought, their great little bottles with the measuring thing on the top. I was trying to find a cheaper alternative and I noticed MMO had the stabilizer claim on their product... at the exact same ratio as STA-BIL (er...and for fun... it was even exactly the same color to my eyes). So I bought a big jug of MMO (for about the price of one of the tiny STA-BIL bottles probably) and used it refill my STA-BIL bottle. And I've been refiling that exact STA-BIL bottle for 20 years now; I am on my 2nd or 3rd jug of MMO (fuel stabilizer is the only thing I use it for). I've had zero carb/gas-oriented problems in small engines, many of which I had for 15 years during that time (note I do the always-treat-all-small-engine-gas-when-you-get-it approach, and to be ~fair I've also always kept EtOH away from my small engines).

Sometime in the later 2000s I think (?) the MMO jug was reworked and the fuel stabilizer claim disappeared from the bottles. I had a theory at one point that someone bought MMO during that time and removed the stabilizer claim to push customers to a much higher-margin fuel stabilizer product. Or maybe a big distributor forced it to happen, or there was favor kind of thing, or similar. I can't find any evidence of this though of who/how that would have come to be, at least not now; perhaps it has been scrubbed from these inter webs and/or the various brands have changed hands a few times (?) just making it harder to ~trace.

In any case, in my case/situation/use, MMO appears to be effective as a fuel stabilizer (gasoline...I use different stuff for diesel)....; I'm sticking with it.

They may have removed the stabilizer recommendation after the NTSB claimed it caused an airplane to crash in a 2003 report.

5% Rislone Oil

I use it in air tools. I didn't know there is a version of MMO specific to air tools. I have always used the original MMO.

I have seen the MMO that is not listed for air tools and it
dissolved the gaskets in their air tools. I use the Senco oil
I use the Senco 2 inch staple guns one auto one standard
auto just hold trigger also have the 3 inch nailer and a few other
smaller staple guns very seldom need clamps when using staples

I never used MMO until a Mennonite fellow I know convinced me it was a miracle oil. He uses it as a preventative in his gas and oil and says it makes engines run better, quieter and cleaner burning. He is not one to mince words or waste money so I took his advice and bought my first bottle last week. I saw MMO decades ago but always thought it was some sort of snake oil.

My plan is to put some in the gas of my old Farmall tractor and then the oil. Then go from there.

I have used MMO as an air tool oil for 30+ years. I do not use it in nail guns because it can lead to failure of their seals. I spent 15 years on a service truck in the construction rental industry. Using MMO in my air tools I have never had to rebuild a single tool I also used plugged connectors to keep dirt out as they were transported.
I use Rotella oil in everything I own that doesn't require mixed gas. It has some of the bestspecs and helps keep engines clean. ATF is my diesel additive along with the white Power Service in the winter. I keep MMO in my shops at all times though because it is a true multi tool that helps with many tasks.

To see how stabil or marvel mystery oil interacts with gasoline take a clear glass pint jar, fill it 3/4 full of gasoline than add either an ounce of Stabil or marvel mystery oil and see if you see any floating on the top of the gasoline. My guess is both will intermix with the gasoline.

I quit using stabil after it made chunks in my small engines fuel tank and it wouldn't run. Now use seafoam.

I wouldn’t think adding MMO to engine oil would be very good for any engine oil. Add it to fuel yes but I want my engine oil thick especially in old engines

Bought the truck for nearly nothing with the belief that I would have to do a valve job at the very least. A mechanic friend convinced me to pour MMO directly into the carb while the truck was running. It smoked like someone had set off a couple of military smoke grenades but ran quiet and smooth afterward. Wish I had that truck today.

How much MMO are people using to stabilize 5 gallons of gas?

Years ago I had a with an F150 with a 300 that had lifters sticking so badly that it sounded like a sewing machine going down the road. One day I had it towed in because a lifter had collapsed. I dumped some MMO into the crankcase ran it hard for about 100 miles, then changed the oil. I got another 100k miles out of the engine without another problem.

Since then I've done the same thing with other trucks except that I've switched to using ATF with similar success. I don't normally use additives but if the engine is junk anyways, I have nothing to lose.

I've done that too and it worked. I was told to shut the engine down immediately after drizzling the MMO into the carb and let it set at least a day. There were no skeeters around for a bunch of hours

Dump about a quart into the crankcase, run it about 100 miles and change the oil. It may work, it may not. It may blow up the engine although I haven't had that happen yet. I've only done it when the engine was pushing the blues and I had nothing to lose.

I do not normally go for snake oil products and considered MMO as one BUT it is definitely not snake oil. I now add it to every storage can of gas I have. I use Eagle Safety cans for my gas storage, they seal tight and have no worries about leakage during transport that happened occasionally with plastic containers. I keep about 50 gallons of gas on hand for the tractors, mowers, etc. and before I started adding MMO the gas would go bad. I had used MMO in the past for sticky valves as mentioned and since I had some on the shelf, that was getting pretty long in the tooth, decided to add it to the storage cans. Mainly to get rid of it. Best move I have ever made, have not had a can of ethanol laced stuff they call gas go bad since. I NEVER, at the end of season/use, run the carbs dry and leave the tanks full and even after some of the engines set for a year with the tank of gas they fire easily and run smoothly.

As an added bonus, that surprised me, I added some to the tank of my old 1992 GMC K3500 flatbed with a 7.4L for some valve noise and noticed that the gas mileage seemed like it was up. I keep meticulous records on all my vehicles pertaining to every drop of gas or oil added to them and after several tests running tanks of gas with and without MMO added it happened every time that the mileage was up by 1 to 2 miles per gallon with the MMO added. Doesn't sound like much but going from 10 mpg to just over 12 on that truck makes a worthwhile difference to me.

my dad taught me that trick, when i was a kid. 2 capfulls of ATF in the carb and run for 20 minitues. cleans all the carbon deposits off valves and piston tops.

I have seen water used in the same manner for the same purpose.

I have a Yamaha Rhino that is burns oil, which they are notorious for. I decided to try a little MMO in both the gas tank and the crankcase as well. So far it seems to be working and not using as much oil or smoking as it was before.
