Good morning!!!!

   / Good morning!!!! #168,701
Light overcast skies with 28ºF this morning's low temperature. The light overcast conditions continue and it has been a mostly sunny morning so far. It is a pleasant 51ºF ATM and I expect today's high temperature to be in the upper 50ºF's. I expect the clouds to be building in this afternoon as the next weather system approaches with rain showers possible this afternoon, rain tonight, tomorrow and possible daily rain showers for most of this remaining workweek and weekend. The remainder of this month and the first week in May are predicted to be slightly cooler than normal.

Hopefully this afternoon will remain rain-free so I can continue Spring clean up projects around here.

Sometimes and hopefully in this particular case a "'Big House' secondary judicial system" will adjucate this living piece of :poop:. Inmates, many of whom had experienced traumatic childhoods themselves, have little tolerance for these :poop:'s and "justice" can be swift and extreme.

I was mowing in my woods across the creek several years ago, there was a large owl on a limb right above me , scared the crap out of me at first, it was half my size. I drove up to house, got camera (before I had a smart phone) came back and it was gone. I hear them at night, especially bard owls.

Thursday rain at the lot keeps getting pushed later, now at 9 pm, so we will attempt to mow.
Started loading the truck this morning. Had a flat on trailer, removed tire and a nice screw in it. While Costco would repair for free, I took it to local garage and they immediately plugged it for $20. Last time I went there it was $5, but they had it done, and I was home and had tire back on before I would have even gotten to Costco, never mind the 2 hour wait if I was lucky.
Nice local garage been there forever.
Wife is at ladies tea today.
BX is at MIL house, hope to bring it home after mowing. If it’s here, I can have it loaded and ready to go any time.
Don’t know how long it will take to mow with BX using 5 ft belly mower. I know my ZT would be faster.
Usually my pink dogwood is loaded with blooms, this year only a few.
Got a bluebird flying around

nice flower Ken, zoomed in on that, very pretty.

stocked up at local grocery store, they had my favorite curried chicken salad, and some nice romaine hearts I bought for salad.
and then some ground lamb for burgers. Real Vidalia onions were in, checker had no idea they come from a fairly small area in
Georgia. The lookalikes come from Peru off season.
It can be called a Vidalia only if it's grown in one of 20 counties designated by the the Vidalia Onion Act of 1986.

would you trust something that says Organic not to wash it?
Just came from supermarket. “Cheap” onions were 3lbs/$2.98.

vidalias were $0.98/lb. So I saved 2 cents by buying three pounds of Vidalias. 😎👍

66°F and no rain.

Switching gears today and giving attention to the pool pumps and filter system. Got a leak that needs fixing. Hopefully nothing serious but don’t know yet. Probably flush the lines, maybe that will garner some improvement. I had changed the sand last year but we take a look at it see it anything to be cleaned out.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Agree they should get everything coming from the official and unofficial system.
Unfortunately I have more experience with this than most people due to attempts on my wife's life. The internal voice in a mental persons head does not respond to will or past convictions. Treatment and medications can in most cases change a person to think normally and not be a danger to them selves and others

m7040- I am sorry to read about what happened to your Wife, and I definitely agree. As an admissions psychologist at a secure, state psychiatric hospital female unit I worked with both the victims (some long term) and the perpetrators of ******, physical, psychological, emotional, and financial abuse. Unfortunately in the "real world" nowadays there are few available community based supportive services for the mentally ill and/or their families and there is no way to legally force a mentally ill person to take their prescribed medication in the community. It was a different situation in the hospital💉💉

Getting off the meds because they feel they don't need it anymore or they don't like the side effects of the meds is a problem and in the hospital there is cheekin and spitting out of the meds.

But at Costco you get to wander around and shop!
In a 2 hour wait you should be able to spend at least $500!

I definitely agree; especially about the "Cheekers" and "Spitters." Going through the legal process to adjudicate a person in need of "Substituted Judgment" as it related to medication is long and convoluted. There is a definite benefit to longterm acting injectable medications like Prolixin 💉 💉 which could be successfully "encouraged" by use of brute force;) in a hospital setting which would be illegal in the community. It was not always pretty. And the individuals once stabilized and discharged could go back to resisting meds and the cycle repeats.

35 and frost on the roof again.

Mark, congrats on having such a successful fishing day. I wonder if you caught any of them multiple times.

Thanks for sharing your beautiful bird and landscape pix. It takes great patience to get the right shot of a bird.

Kil, hope that water tests perfect for you. Are you planning to source your water directly from a stream?

Starting to meet more thru-hikers on the trail. Yesterday, a 35-ish year old lady was hiking with her two boys...maybe 10 and 12 YO. Amazing to see the three carrying large backpacks and smiling the whole time. She said they had been on the trail 25 days...were flip-flopping from Harper's Ferry heading south. Also, a nice young couple from Boiling Springs, PA, where the AT passes just walked out of their town heading south. I hiked The Priest and Spy Rock. Never seen so many wildflowers.
Mountain Man. ;)

54F and mostly cloudy @ 15:00 with the Sun occasionally peeking through. Calling for a high of 56F for the day.

If it hadn't rained early this morning I'd be tempted to go mow. As it is, I'll gladly settle for mowing tomorrow when it's supposed to be mostly sunny with a high of 66F.

Got the hopper feeder and the two tube feeders filled yesterday first thing. Need to refill one of the suet feeders.

Made a bit more progress up in the shop last night ... although was interrupted for a bit when neighbor stopped by and we shot the breeze for around an hour or so ... :giggle:

Got the last piece all cleaned off and scrubbed and wire brushed. Then got the four holes drilled in it and got it welded to the angle it goes on:

IMG_2511 copy.jpg

Had to do a little grinding on the bottom after welding to accommodate the caster bracket:

IMG_2510 copy.jpg

Then worked on getting the welds on the interior of the frame ground off flush:

Then installed the caster on the bracket and fitted things up to get a better idea of how it all would go together:

Did some clean up on the t-bolts with a wire brush in a die grinder as well.

Finished up around 04:00 and loaded up the stove before I headed back down to the house so it hopefully wouldn't be too chilly up there today.

Today I'll get that bracket tacked up and welded on, along with the four brackets for the feet.

A little clean up with a wire brush after that and it will be ready to prime and paint.

UPS just delivered one of the wiper blades for the Sprinter, the one for other side should be here in the next couple of days via USPS ... hopefully before we get much more rain.

Hope everyone is having a Happy Hump Day ... (y)

after being motivated by RS's precision work, headed out to see if rear tail light will go back on rv.
at issue is whether the holes will line up since a few of them were in the broken zone.

had a nice lunch at Pineville Tavern in Pineville PA, in their covered outdoor new dining area that was full of plants and flowers everywhere.
Tall ceilings absorbed a lot of the noise but still had problems hearing.
Food was only ok for lots of money. Prime rib sandwich, sure not going to be eating any dinner tonight.
had some diet coke with lunch, no wonder I'm wide awake...
all in all an exceptionally unhealthy but fun lunch. My neighbor is losing her ability to walk, has to use a walker, this was all about getting her out
of the house for her upcoming birthday. She had fun, we all had fun.

rain is headed in, need to get one more dose of pollen outside before end of day.
washed the Volvo yesterday, dark blue car, turning tan by the hour.

Have a mystery. Found a red ball somewhat bigger that a tennis ball and heavy plastic. Was out in the middle of the field and ran over it mowing. Did not notice any tracks and was too far to be thrown . Any of you recognize this?
