We manage to suck up about 30kwh/day.
Thank you! That is significantly larger than our setup. I believe my first upgrade will be to the storage capacity. . . On the never ending To-Do List. . .

Years ago with my first car, a 1975 Chevy Impala, I was driving on one of the more poorly-paved local streets and stopped for a light right into a pothole.

next thing I know, there is this dude knocking on my window saying he is sorry for rear-ending me. I thought I was getting robbed! But he was driving a Fiero and went under my bumper, and I hadn’t noticed because of the rough road. . . His hood was wrecked, I had a minor crease in my gas tank. . .
I can top that one. We hit a bull crossing 1960 in the Spring area of Houston in our Chevy Impala 1979. Messed up the front part of the car. Calling to report it we get this what make and model was it we hit. It is a bull mam. Yes but make and model please?

In case we get thirsty they are getting ready for us. This is the old firehouse in Middletown converted to a distillery. They were getting deliveries of barrels today. This was on the way back from the red barn sandwich place

Not much sleep at the farm last night. Always listening for mice. And other issues. We left a little earlier than planned due to incoming storm. Was flying the drone and heard thunder, looked at Radar. Holy cow, storm covered most of Ohio. Was in real heavy rain, fog, hail on way home.
So home now, relaxing.

This afternoon I was taken stock of the black smith tools that I want to set up in the lower floor of the barn. The main anvil is a Hay Budden NY from the 1800's and is in very good condition. It has good rebound and ring. The small one is a Columbia. The tongs are collected from an old blacksmith shop going out of business as well as two leg vises. The tin anvils were collected from an auction as well as the ring anvil and swage block. The forge works quite well on black smith coal.

Thanks for the mini-split info. I will definitely do more homework.

Only one item off the list today, flushing the tankless WH. Went good, not too much crud in there, just made the flush water cloudy. It was a bit more involved than I anticipated, even though I read the manual 3 times.

Time consuming because the cleaning solution has to be circulated, then rest, then circulate, continue for 1-2 hours.....
The water supply input filter was very clean, no sediment build up at all.
Glad that job is done for another year. At least I know what is involved for next time.

Didn't feel like going up to the store for the filters that came in.... tomorrow...

Wifey made chicken soup from the Costco chicken. Delicious! Oh, and scratch made dinner rolls.... mmm, mmmm, mmmmm.

Time to put the feet up....

Fritz, neat tools. Especially old tools. Put them to good use!

Kilroy, hope you got the mast up today.....

BEF, glad you got home despite the storm. Do you remember what day it is?
I usually look at the Ipad to tell me.....

Good early (Friday) arvo. Overnight Low of 19.8C and it's presently 26.4C, lightly overcast with a gentle breeze. Summer is finally here, although that brings its own problems such as the threat from bushfires. Oh well, that's 'life', eh?

A nice sleep-in as I have no more guests. A fair bit of bedding/towel dhobi to get through and, of course, I need to do a run into town as the PO alerted me to a delivery. Fortunately there are a couple of things that I can do whilst I'm there.

Depending on time, I'll either chain-harrow/mulch Paddocks 3 & 4 later on today or tomorrow. I'll need to grease the FEL too, as I've got a hay rounds task to do Sunday arvo.

That's about it, take care all.
