Good morning!!!!

Took MIL to see the lot. Met neighbor to the north and discovered they are the neighbor from hell.
Not sure what I’ll do now. Will have to talk to closing attorney about options. Might just try to flip the lot.

We first met the people making hay. They had left a hay rake on “my” lot. Neighbors had left a note on it saying they were trespassing. The rake was over 300 yards from the line.
So after talking with them awhile, we went down to the area where the neighbors have been mowing on “my” lot.
Neighbor woman comes down. Our first meeting. Wanted to know if she could help us. I said no, we are buying this lot and are looking at it. She said, you’re on my lot. I replayed, no, I know where the property corner is )pointing over to it), and I have a copy of the survey. She replies this land is ours. I again mentioned I know where the line is.
We left her and looked around, walked up to other end. (And the hay guys had mowed off 5 of the 6 septic stakes🤬). the neighbor and her husband were walking up in the corner behind their house (i saw a pink flag up there) and they went down to other end. I half expected they would pull the flags there.
We talked some more with the baler guy , and as we were walking to our vehicle noticed the neighbor lady had driven another no trespassing sign in the ground well on “my” lot.
We left then.

I just can’t believe people would act like that the first meeting.

I will have a surveyor set stakes on the property line, the same surveyor who did the survey when it was just subdivided in July. I’m not getting involved with the neighbor, I’ll let surveyor and lawyers handle it.

But the whole incident was depressing to say the least.

They just bought theirs 2 months ago from same realtor and same owner. The lots were just subdivided in July. All markers are still visible.
Sorry for your woes. Maybe the land should've come with fences? Not sure what to tell you, but we are here to have our ears bent. Makes me wonder if other prospectives had encountered the "drama"? Maybe get a 2nd opinion on the survey instead of hiring the same company? Prayers you get it straightened out. It might take some digging at the title company? Anyway, I can understand the "downer" of having a bad neighbor. I once lived in an apartment that I had to call the law on the neighbor at least twice in 6 months.

And I hope you got a big piece of cake for your birthday.

Good evening Everyone,

I have been offline for 3 days, and now I am 16 pgs behind.

Long Story - things on the homefront are not going well, wife and I are trying to work things out, but she has basically decided that her dad (and sister) take priority over me and the marriage. She will be moving both of them back to Prince George in the coming days, and has in the meantime requested that I stay elsewhere until things settle down (I go home most days to take care of the critters at this point). Anyways, time will tell how this all works out, but I'm still praying that she is interested in the marriage. I am staying at a buddies place for a day or two (therefore no internet until now). I'm hoping that after an 11 month absence, this is just another glitchy detail to get through before we can chat. I am hopeful, but not naive. The outside interference in the marriage has not helped at all. I'm Trusting God (Proverbs 3:5-6) whatever happens.

The Shipping Container is a bonus as we clean out the garage.

I will reply again, but just needed to send you all a quick note, in case anyone missed me.
Prayers.

I went to a country wedding where "John Deere" was the theme. I will try to post some pics. Groom works for JD as a mechanic.

Just got home from church, wifey is not feeling well. I made loaded mashed potatoes, and baked 4 potatoes. Warmed up some leftover BBQ from yesterday's wedding to go with.

Prayers for our team, the sick, for divine cures and healing, our country, Ukraine and for Puting to get his head on straight.

Short outing with the wifey...just to Lebanon NH Walmart. After wandering around for 20 minutes or so, she got what she wanted...which wasn't much. Probably just needed to get out for a bit.
Unfortunately, and surprisingly, they didn't have the GP grease I needed. The automotive section was a bit sparse.
We were home by 1500-1515 or thereabouts
Overcast now...should see some rain tonight into tomorrow and off and on through the week.

All in all, a very nice wedding.

kitchen ceiling light died, must have been 40 years old, inexpensive fluorescent light, so I ordered a replacement LED
one from Amazon, and figured since I had to get someone with electrical capabilities out anyway, I also ordered a replacement
Panasonic vent fan for the bathroom. One in there of equal age and noisy. I wanted a 190cfm but the one made for easy retrofit was 110.
I think that should be enough and likely more than what's in there.
I suppose I could order both models and return one of them. I hate beating up any store that way, but if the 190 fits, that's really the one I want.
No exhaust fan in kitchen, bathroom off kitchen, so using the vent fan there does an adequate job over time of getting cooking smell out of cottage.
It's time for a turbo...

if larger cfm vent has to suck down to smaller vent exhaust hose, is the added cfm still worth it?
I think I may order both. Have to crawl up to unfinished attic, drop down ladder, not a job for me.
And once electrician is up there, he can see if larger one fits.
I doubt anyone has been up there in 30 years. I'm not sucking up that toxic mouse dust...
at least the mess will be in the bathroom and I can close the door. Light in kitchen not same size, might have to do some painting.
I bet the new one is a lot brighter.

I always replace florescent with something else, when it wears out or starts to hum or flicker.
Incandescent, just inefficient light, though possible warmer in tone. Halogen, often too hot, sucks juice.
LED still seems to be the darling child even though most of us have had a failed LED bulb by now. They do not last forever.

outdoor lighting has gotten much better. You can really light up the place at night for not a lot of cost.
Remember Hollywood when thinking about the bad guys coming to rob your home.
They don't like lights and they don't like cameras. Door cams are marvelous.
Big dogs are the best.
I want a little help box where I press a button and the sound of a pump shotgun loading is followed by the deep growl of a very big dog.
That should do it. Avoidance, not confrontation.

Drew, Someone told me that guests actually like a noisy fan because it hides any embarrassing sounds them might be making. We got it covered. The powder room fan roars.

why beef prices are so high

Doesn't bother Don or me either but I'll tell you if some future medical test comes back with bad news I'm going out and getting a bacon double cheese burger and I won't care what it costs.

Drew, I definitely won't let them get any advantages over me. I have been determined so far, fighting the bureaucracy. I have won 2 of 3 battles so far, not gonna loose this one... This is the title match.

Watched the Formula 1 race, boy were they fast.... no major wrecks, a few close calls. There was a battle between the top 3 teams for the last 20 laps. Made for some entertaining racing.
Formula 1 reminds me of the 'old school' racing of the 60's and 70's.... racing with talents of the drivers and the abilities of pit crew could make or break the team.
Not bashing NASCAR, but it seems that all they do is draft around the track hundreds of times in a circle....

Now, if I can find some Moto GP..... those guys are just nuts!
