BEF and RNG, I just saw your PM's.... sorry that I didn't see them earlier....
If you click on the bell, they will get reset.... I think you can click on the notification bell and it will show 'settings' at the bottom of the little window that opens. I believe you can set your notification preferences there.LS posts and reply are showing on my notification bell. Dont know how to fix that. Any suggestions?
Sorry for your woes. Maybe the land should've come with fences? Not sure what to tell you, but we are here to have our ears bent.
And I hope you got a big piece of cake for your birthday.

We had fluorescent lights in our kitchen before the remodel. They were replaced with recessed LEDs. Earlier this year, I had to replace three of the six. They were the ones over the stove/oven side of the kitchen. Not sure if it was the heat or the steam that got them, or maybe a combination of both. They lasted almost exactly five years. The other three seem OK, but I can see a slight difference in the brightness, with the new ones being slightly brighter. Not sure if this is the difference in the newer diodes being better/brighter, or if it's an indication that the other three are diminishing as well, but at a slower rate.I always replace florescent with something else, when it wears out or starts to hum or flicker.
Incandescent, just inefficient light, though possible warmer in tone. Halogen, often too hot, sucks juice.
LED still seems to be the darling child even though most of us have had a failed LED bulb by now. They do not last forever.
