Good (Tuesday) morning. Overnight Low of 7C and presently 18.6C. It's partly cloudy with a gentle breeze. No rain called for until (of course) the weekend... which isn't a problem when one is retired. ;)

I did accomplish cleaning the grout in my shower/bathtub yesterday. Today will be a trip to the tip for garbage bin and 'recyclables'.

That's about it, take care all.

sleet/snow

oh no....
🌨️🌨️🌨️

dinner turned out nicely, added bunch of stuff to my red sauce, like kalamata olives and artichoke hearts, plus sweet sausage, with
fresh baked asiago cheese bread. And we split a deli chocolate eclair for dessert. That sure worked for me.

think we missed the freeze here, will know tomorrow night. Might actually get another tomato and pepper if cold holds off.
Had that big 14 ouncer tomato for dinner/salad tonight. Plus my other friend's home picked green beans.
Sitting here quite full actually....and content.

37F and light rain @ 21:00, heading down to a low of ... 37F ... ???

Got three pallets of steel for various projects moved into the shop. They need to be unloaded and put away but that cleared the path so I can put more pallets from the barn in there to get them out of the way. Should be able to get at least 6 shoehorned in there. Maybe I'll fire off the first fire of the season in the double barrel and do that tomorrow.

Took the garbage and recyclables up to the road after that.

Moved some stuff into the garage once I got back down to the house.

Finished off the Mexican for dinner tonight.

Went downstairs after dinner and rounded up some more tools.

Still can't find my pry bar ... :(

Hope everyone had a great Monday ... (y)

Others of you that mess with cameras, do you use a dedicated NVR or software? I’ve been using Blue Iris Software and have been pretty happy in general. Sometimes it is a small challenge to get a new camera to communicate properly, but overall it’s been a great value.

I have a couple dedicated NVRs, but also have SD cards in some of the camera’s.

Re-kitted my plane last weekend... into a dam. Had to get a dingy out to retrieve the bits.
Ordered a new one straight away and it is ready to go. Had to fit a new engine as the other one was destroyed.

Did the Salv Army scraps pick-up, renewed insurance on wife's car, took the summer tires out of the truck and put them in the sea can (that was heavy, tough to do, ribs are aching still so lifting was a challenge), picked up a front seat that i think will work for my '64 El Camino, started to load truck for the next dump run, came in for dinner, the back & muscle pills are knocking me out tonight, now i'm just taking it easy. oil change for wife's car tomorrow

Oh man, Saito engine not cheap. What is that an RV8 ? They look like fun.
scootr The broken one is a Saito FG21 (21cc gas)(Au$795) The new OS engine is a OS 95V (17cc) four stroke methanol engine. Four Strokes are expensive. Going to cost me about $500 to repair the broken Saito. The plane kits are $399. Then you have all the extras like servos etc. Cheaper to fix a chain saw by far.
The plane is a Tiger 3 Sport. It is my largest plane.

Good morning, the low is 37, high 45°F. Wind ESE 7 mph. Periods of rain.

In between the rain drops I have a little 'custom cutting' to do on the conveyor. It will make it easier to get in and out of the window hole, I hope.

The wood furnace is stripping the dampness off the wood nicely.

Thanks to being sick in September and the rain now, I am now a full month behind on the pre-winter chores.

I will call the spring shop today and see if he has finally gotten my spring done. If yes, then I will shoot up there and get it. That will be one more project done when the spring is back into the trailer and back on its' wheels.

I did get the electricity set up for the 2 block heaters, yesterday, in between the rain drops. The extension cord for the tractor shed is buried in conduit, I just had to confirm the juice was going where I wanted it.
The extension going to the Dodge garage is set in 3" PVC pipe off the power to the tractor. That all comes off the same circuit at the house. It just means that I cannot have both block heaters on at the same time.
Nobody else in this house drives, so that is really no hardship.

Have a safe day all

44 going up to 57. Probably a freeze tonight.

Mostly, it's like that on most all of the dogwoods. Does that mean a bad winter? The wooly bears aren't helping with the forecast...have been all over the place with the width of their stripes...many are solid brown while some are solid black, others with stripes.

Got about half the desired firewood brought up the porch when it started raining. Will finish up today, and give some a test.

good morning all
42 going up to mid 50's today with freeze warning for tonight.
looks like I'm picking the rest of the veggies this afternoon.

off shortly to endocrinologist, hopefully all labs will be in range, and then home to putter.
Leaves are just gorgeous out now, nice to drive down small country roads with the trees overhanging the roads, with a light snow
of burgundy and gold leaves fluttering down.

I made plans and hotel reservations to visit my old home in NC the week before Thanksgiving, then will stop at brother's in VA on way home for Thanksgiving.
that will be the last of my road trips for the year

hope everyone is well

Good Morning
It’s 39 with a high of 50 for today, colder tomorrow.
We got 1/2” of rain when the cold front came through yesterday.
Dry today.
Yesterday was unremarkable except went to see Hot Club of Cowtown at the Sellersville theater last night. Had a seat right at the stage, they had a dog on stage with them, got to pet it, she was incredibly well trained.

Today I’m off to Palm Beach, last trip until after the wedding. Too much to do around here to be gone all day.

   / Good morning!!!! #157,560
Morning all, about 50 and clouds seem to be moving out after last nights rain.
Should be clear sailing until next week, gotta get some leaves moved as they are starting to pile themselves up.

Our dogwoods have no berries, yep the fox have left and the squirrels are back.

Meetings , and day job. Need to finish Halloween decorations now that the rain has stopped.
