It’s been that way for the past 6 months. I was told to go to a truck stop or a Cummins shop because those places still have oil in stock.
No oil shortage in general. Don’t know about Walmart but Rural King, Tractor Supply, AutoZone, etc. have all you want.
Really? Walmart, TSC, O'Reilly's, and Autozone out here have zero DIESEL oils in stock. I've been watching for months! They get a few gallons in and they are gone within a few hours.
We don’t have RK here and none of the rest of those places have much or any diesel oil in my area.
Our nearby Walmart seems to have it in stock, though there seem to be a lot of bare shelves there where other items would be.
CRAZY prices ...
The proof of the pudding is if it gets delivered. I ordered 12 1 gallon jugs from walmart back before thanksgiving. I tried ordering 1 gallon for local pickup. Got notified it was there, was given a pickup time. Went to pick up. Got there, it wasn't available. I did this about 5 times before I gave up. Of the 12 i ordered online only 11 have arrived, dribbling in 1 or 2 at a time.
It was three or four months ago when I run in the same thing at our local Walmart almost no options I think there was one gallon of shell and then I got a few gallons of a name I'd seen before but I'd never bought before and it wasn't full synthetic either. But it was full synthetic price :-(
I called the local Cummins shop this morning. Valvoline 5W-40 full synthetic is $30/gallon. Check with local diesel truck shops. They buy in quantity and usually can beat most stores for prices. But I did actually see T6 at Walmart yesterday for $58/2.5 gallon jug. I almost bought it but saw it was 15W-40. I’m going to buy at the Cummins shop from now on because they have the weight I use in stock.
