Diesel oil shortage ??

The only places where I’ve found much diesel oil in stock are at the Cummins shop and a few truck stops.

No oil shortage in general. Don’t know about Walmart but Rural King, Tractor Supply, AutoZone, etc. have all you want.

We don’t have RK here and none of the rest of those places have much or any diesel oil in my area.

Went to my local Walmart today to pickup some diesel oil for my tractor the shelves were 80 percent bare.Anyone else seeing this yet?

Our nearby Walmart seems to have it in stock, though there seem to be a lot of bare shelves there where other items would be.
Tractor's the only diesel I have, and I just changed the oil in the fall so I'm good for a while.

I usually use Rotella, haven't found any so I had to pick up Delvac. There were just a few gallons on the shelf so I figured I better get it now.

Amazon lists Rotella T-6 5w-40 for over $58 per gallon. Three months ago when I bought it it was $27.

walmart.com shows Rotella, Delvac and other oils available although the prices have jumped

The proof of the pudding is if it gets delivered. I ordered 12 1 gallon jugs from walmart back before thanksgiving. I tried ordering 1 gallon for local pickup. Got notified it was there, was given a pickup time. Went to pick up. Got there, it wasn't available. I did this about 5 times before I gave up. Of the 12 i ordered online only 11 have arrived, dribbling in 1 or 2 at a time.

It was three or four months ago when I run in the same thing at our local Walmart almost no options I think there was one gallon of shell and then I got a few gallons of a name I'd seen before but I'd never bought before and it wasn't full synthetic either. But it was full synthetic price :-(

I just saw that Mobile1 Full Synthetic 5w-40 Diesel Engine Oil is now $50 per gallon. WOW!

I called the local Cummins shop this morning. Valvoline 5W-40 full synthetic is $30/gallon. Check with local diesel truck shops. They buy in quantity and usually can beat most stores for prices. But I did actually see T6 at Walmart yesterday for $58/2.5 gallon jug. I almost bought it but saw it was 15W-40. I’m going to buy at the Cummins shop from now on because they have the weight I use in stock.
