I never did take any "astrology and psychics" math courses.
Can anyone here explain how the distances to the other planets in our solar system are calculated? The math goes back a thousand years or more (10K) but I couldn't do it again today based on first principles.

We all know that volcanic eruptions occur when sinners in Hades aren't shoveling fuel to the fires in unison or neglect to keep burner orifices clean enough for them to stay evenly lit. They're working pretty far down there but we don't know how many have fallen out the bottom of the planet to an even worse place.
Hey, maybe Earth isn't a disc but shaped like a grapefruit, flat on top but not on the bottom. If only we could venture over & around the ocean-containing ice wall for a better look, but that might require the technology to somehow fly there. If we were meant to fly we'd have been born wings, so I don't think that's possible.
(btw, I can't begin to explain shoes.)
