I totally agree with your thoughts.I have to wonder what kind of shape we'll all be when all gasoline powered items such as cars, mowers, etc. are converted to electric. Our electric power grid seems so vulnerable that one little hitch and we'll all be totally powerless.
And how about the cost of replacing the batteries on electric cars, trucks, tractors, etc.. Or, is everything going to become disposable once the original batteries die?
I was one of the first to send $100 to GM for the opportunity to preorder a 2023 electric pickup.
At around $42,000 plus for a base model it sounds like a viable option, so why not? I’m in the market as my 2010 and 2011 chevy and GMC pickups are ready to retire at 273,000 each since I bought them new.
My concern was that the truck is based on the same chassis that everything is based on with GM… so is it just replacement of the chassis if you have a problem with battery packs, or is everything replaceable inside that chassis?
