The radio was working until one day it wasn't.
It powers up, shows the stations and time but no sound from the speakers.
I pulled the roof off to inspect the wiring. All connections appear intact and the antenna is hooked up.
I am totally ignorant on how to test anything.
Any help out there?

You sure there isnt a mute button on radio? My kioti radio has one.

Does it have bluetooth? Make sure there isn't a pair of ear buds or other bluetooth device nearby. It may be connected but the other device is turned down where you can't hear it.

Mute is not activated and no bluetooth.

Hmm. Than it is either a dead radio or bad wire. But you said you looked under roof and all wires were ok.

im not sure how to test either, except to try and hook another speaker up to the existing wires. Not sure what tester you need to verify a speaker signal.

Like I said in my first post, the radio powers up and shows radio stations, volume and time so I assume, perhaps wrongly, that the radio is ok.

Is there a separate connector for output that may have jiggled loose?

Just because it powers up doesnt mean its working. It might have dead amp or ? That prevents output. I doubt both speakers would go bad, and if all wiring has been checked, what else could it be.

Just a thought but what about the fade for front and back speakers? Most tractors only have two speakers and the radio may be able to have 4. If it was adjusted all the way to the front or back there may not be any sound because no speakers.

Any idea how I can test that?

Is it under warranty ? Maybe they will give you a new radio ?

I will have to check that

You can test the speaker with a 9 volt battery
just touch the wires to it like testing a light bulb
Not sure I'd use a 9V battery though...a AA would be less likely to damage the speaker.

The radio in my TC was acting up. The sound would be fine, then it would act like the mute was half on. It really bugged me for a year...then I found what was wrong. I put a small amount of dielectric grease on the headphone plug and worked it in-out a dozen times and have not had a problem since. I normally never use the phones but I was ready to try anything at that point. Now the volume is consistent like it should be.
