When doing the speed limit and some one goes to pass you, it is temping to speed up as you say. But think about how hard it would be to get to sleep at night if the result was a head-on collision or somone goes into the ditch to avoid an accident and someone dies. Just let them go.

That trailer looks like an accident waiting for the place to happen. The axel is at minimum centered if not forward of center.

Have had several of this design, it's very common I Europe and never consider it unsafe.

Is that a dumping trailer? It looks like it's made so the bed can tilt. Looks like a decent trailer to me, maybe the axle is a bit forward as compared to many you see in the States.

That was my thought also, but it could be the angle of the photo. I had a tandem axle trailer which didn't need a tongue jack to stand alone... the mount between the axles was dead center on the platform and it was a bear to pull empty. It wasn't so bad when I loaded it, as I could put the weight forward to give it some tongue weight.
