If it were me I'd pay to have the minimum done to get the permit and get on with life.
But being a do it yourselfer, I'd also get a three point dump bucket. They make heavy duty ones and they aren't expensive.

Try koyker loaders up in South Dakota I had one on an old tractor they are quality unit they make them for all the tractors. Also check with Keno tractors they had one about the same size with a front loader sitting on their lot and if they do see if you can cancel the order on your Kubota

Talked to my sales guy this last weekend. He said they have 18 pallets worth of parts sitting in the Kubota warehouse waiting to ship and have been adding up for the past 8 weeks. No truck drivers to deliver them. He said they all went to work for Amazon. More pay, air conditioned vans….

Yes the issue with the FELs was the hydraulic cylinder steel. Apparently it is really hard to get right now. Neil also mentioned the plastics…that was crazy. It is due to the freeze in TX. The Oil refineries also provide the materials to make a lot of plastics and they froze and broke down…so those are constrained.

Then the microchips….yes it too shall pass.
It will pass—well maybe if we can get rid of china joe. With covid crap politics, I do not expect much improve any time soon.
Look at 2019-20 flu stats and then look at 2020-21 flu stats. Stuff just does not add up to be straight forward in all of that.

I found a Kubota dealer in Miss. That has 4 of them on the lot for $600 less than quoted by my dealer. I live in Ca. They said they could sell it to me and ship it for just a little more than buying it from my dealer. My dealer said sure, when it gets here we'll install it for $1500 or you can wait until yours gets here and we'll install it for free. So, I can have it in 30 days for about $2000 more or, I can wait 60 days and hope it acctualy shows up.

Interesting. Obviously your dealer doesn't like you trying to work around them.

As rScotty says, I would get done what needs to be done for that permit, but do it quickly. Hire it, or if you insist on DIY, you can rent what you need and maybe even get it done much faster with something bigger than what you have or were planning to use.

If the valve is already on your tractor the loader is about 16 bolts, I would install it myself in a heart beat. If you still need the valve it's a little more time but not overly hard if you understand water always flows downhill and stopping it is really hard (or in the case of hydraulics, bad).

find a back blade to move brush if that's the fire hazard you're looking at. I've used mine to blaze trails, pull snow, level dirt etc.

So I bought a Kubota M6060 in April 2021. It did not have an FEL so I ordered one at the time of purchase. I was told that it would arrive at the dealership early July. I just got off the phone with the dealer. Kubota is now saying it will arrive around the end of September!!!! Son of a female dog!!
If you see it before Thanksgiving it will be because your dealer steals one from another dealer that has one. Went through that horror story with New Holland. After about 30 days my dealer stole one off another of his dealers so he could deliver the tractor. Deal was to deliver the tractor with the loader on it. I actually seen the tractor it came off headed for Virginia. I called the next day and told my dealer just deliver the tractor without the loader. When it comes in he could just pick up tractor and install loader then bring tractor back. Next day got a call we have your loader on your tractor. When can we deliver it.

I know it will pass eventually. I'm just frustrated. I wanted to build my retirement home next year. The building dept. wont give me a building permit untill I reduce the fire hazard. I need the Fel to get it done. Now I'm 6 months behind which means I won't be able to build until 2023.
With the price of lumber that may be a blessing.

I use an 8 ft boxblade on my Workmaster 50 for brush / small trees. Have one that also has a blade on back for backwards pushing. Using loader for pushing anything big may warped loader arms. Make sure you get HD boxblade if you tractor weighs 5,000 lbs. or more. You would be surprised how much you can push in reverse. And if you should have a "quick hitch" make sure you have the "PAT" type / brand on your tractor. Those other 3 point hitch that converts to quick hitch can not hold up to the pressure when you're clearing a pine field of trees. The box blade works great for counter weight when you do get your loader. For me box blade / loader grapple is the clearing combo. Box blade to push up in a pile and loader grapple to pick up and move it to location you want it.
