Met my wife on Match.com back in 2003 when it was a novelty. Maybe it still is, but at the time it was very embarrassing. We came up with a story about meeting at the gym so that we seemed somewhat legitimate.
She had an add stating that she was Chewbacca. I had to look. Took the chance and asked for a date based upon three grainy, dark photos. She was not at all Chewbacca, but cool, funny and cute. Married in 2009 and definitely my best friend and even better enemy. That woman drives me absolutely nuts. But when she's away, even for a day, I'm miserable.

Met my wife in 1986 when we were both 21 at college. I never dated before and we were at a party and I guess for some reason I was the life of the party and she took a liking to me. Dumb me couldn't see the signals until she lip locked me later that night. First kiss for me. And we were both virgins.

Glad I'm not the only one here who met their wife online, in my case it was E-harmony. One of her sons had talked her into signing up, and I'd just been broken up with and figured I'd give it a try. We were both in our mid 50s at the time.
Funny thing, if someone had described her to me and offered to fix us up, I probably wouldn't have been interested, but we definitely clicked. Been together 17 years now, married 14.

I didn’t meet online...I advertised in a horse magazine. Not kidding. I was looking for a riding partner after I purchased a new horse. That was 28 years ago.
its amazing cause she rode an all white Arabian and I had a quarter horse and was into working cattle. Those stupid Arabians always raise their tails and spook the cattle. Drove me mad.
