i have one but have to find it tomorrow. what do you mean oil type? i only used mine 3x - due to all the bucket work i do.
cuts nice. but i have many areas that it is too big to use. but nice to have some kind of extra unit.

there is a gear box, i assume there is oil/grease in it? if you have the manual it would be great

i will look in my office tomorrow. just going to sleep - 4 am comes too quick. there are a few grease fittings for sure. i never messed with any oil that is why i asked. will get back to youtomorrow.

I have a 60 midmount on a smaller max made by Amerquip. I had to remove the gearbox to change the oil. Not very difficult. Took standard gear oil, either 80 or 90 wt. I’ll check when I head out to the barn

under gear box section says 6 oz of oil no more no less.

reg temp mobilube 80w-90

above 200 degrees F mobilube synthetic SHC 75w-90

hope this helps. damn - this is a pain in the ass now to flip the mower over to work on it or sideways as such. i am an old one man band. knew there was a downside to ll of this.

appreciate the info, yea, i have to remove the backhoe and hook up the 3pt to lift or move the mower, thats a huge disappointment for me, plus idk how to get under it to clean the mower deck, i have a spray setup i like on my smaller mower, these belly mowers are a bit of a pain thats for sure.

i love them one way but then..... they are a heavy beast for sure. a pain. i probably should have never paid that money and bought a cheapo garden tractor for a backup.
oh well i have it now.

my issue which i didn't really think about, is all the tire damage, my yard is generally dry, but the weight of this thing is leaving decent marks, pretty sure im not going to be able to mow with it

Heres the spec from the manual. Dont recall if you have to pull the gearbox. I did and its pretty easy. Don’t have to remove the pulley and it’s only a few bolts.

Thanks guys, perfect for what I need. I just bought a land plane today for my mahindra, its scarily large, I hope it works well. It's yanmar branded (woods made). I hope I don't piss off the Mahindra Gods...

stupid question - you access the gear box from the top? not underneath?

how have you dealt with blade sharpening if i can ask? that is a bear...

I've a tym which has the same mid mower. I've found that the easiest way to remove the mower is on my garage floor which is epoxy coated. Plain concrete, even really smooth is still a pita. Yes, you have to remove it to sharpen blades and dan for sure to remove the gearbox. And dang gearbox is easy to damage.. be careful with it.

I flip mine over to remove the blades for sharpening. I have hooks on my bucket and use a couple nylon slings to lift it. Flipping it makes it easier to block the blades to torque the bolts. Think it’s like 150 ft/lbs.
I cheated when I pulled the gearbox and used a chainfall and put the deck on a couple of horses.
