Greetings, I've been reading/researching this forum for the past two years while I was trying to figure out my first tractor purchase. I'm very thankful for all the member contributions and the posts I've read as that information, really helped me with my decision.
Last year I purchased a 2020 Kubota B2601 and it has been an amazing tractor. Originally, I was planning on purchasing a BX (great tractor BTW) but, this forum, neighbors and co-workers urged me to buy a larger tractor. I'm thankful for that, the B2601 was a better fit for the property at the time as I learned how to operate a completely new-to-me machine. The B2601 has done pretty much everything I've asked of it on my undeveloped and somewhat hilly, 5 acers. I've done a lot of clearing and there is much, much more to do.
However, during the past year I've come to the conclusion (I could be wrong) that I need more tractor weight for some of the ground engagement tasks on my property. So, I ultimately decided to keep the B2601 primarily as my mower (with 4wd and diesel being the plus) and purchase the L2501 as my workhorse.
Well, I signed the paperwork yesterday and I have a new 2021 L2501 on the way. I'm pretty excited!
Anyway, thought I would share and I appreciate all the information this forum has to offer.
Mike
