Harbor Freight Tools that don't suck

They keep opening stores, but cutting promotions. They also seem to have supply line problems. Perhaps if they held off on new stores for a while ?

Apparently they've grown to the point that they don't need to offer 20% off promotions.

If you get their monthly catalogs, as I do, you start to notice that if something you want is NOT on sale this month, it WILL be on sale next month. They seem to alternate month-on-month-off of sale prices. And also, if you notice, the sale price is usually 20% off the regular price. Since the 20% off coupons can't be used on sale items, the point is almost moot for them to offer the 20% coupon anymore. Just wait a month and it'll be 20% off.

My local harbor freight are maskholes, if your not wearing a mask and covering your nose and all, they freak out. Because of that, I will not walk in the store. I only deal in free America businesses.

Yep, don't worry about staying out of the stores here also!

Yeah, me too.
I only drive when I can drink, only go to work when I am sick, only eat where I can chain smoke

I really don稚 give a damm about other people

. (Sarcasm alert)

Thank you Moss. That's very good information to have.

You still get catalogs? Mine stopped coming over a year ago, though I still get the email blasts. Kind of a PITA to have to print out a coupon if you find one for something you want, I wonder if that was the logic behind doing away with the catalogs?

They can scan the sale coupons right off your phone or tablet.

Anybody have a long term review of the Yukon tool cabinet, either the single drawer/cabinet or the 9 drawer model with the wood tops? I知 still years out from my pole shed becoming my shop. One last ditch effort to organize the garage....

HF has become my tool rental solution since our downsize. I find it's cheaper to buy HF, use it, sell it, versus renting or hiring. It's also far easier to avoid becoming a tool hoarder with a HF tool in your hand

You know, thinking about it, I haven't gotten one since before Christmas. Hmm... I recall reading something in one of them about the prices would be good for two months, even though the coupons would expire. It was all COVID related as I recall.

My neighbor bought a Harbor Freight roofing nailer, used it to do his house, then sold it on Craig's list for what he paid for it new. :confused2:

Now I have a name for my problem. I am a tool hoarder. Step one is complete, I have admitted my problem. I made a stop at HF on Saturday, and I am currently waiting for deliveries from Snap On and Amazon.

Easy-Flux 125 Amp Welder
Yes, good unit. I have one. Can't remember what I paid but $170 sounds cheap. Welded this railing with it. 20200911_175044.jpeg

That railings looks good. I am in the process of designing the railing for the loft of our cabin.
Thanks! Are you doing the wrought iron look? I say "look" because you'll want to make the distinction when discussing with wrought iron guys.

If I am looking at your photo correctly, the top rail will be the same thing in your photo. I am going to have a buddy plasma cut a scene with deer and turkey for one rail and I am planning our last name in my Dads handwriting for the other rail. I have friend that build railing for commercial buildings for many years. He will do the welding. I am going to get pricing on powder coating and get some info color choices.

This is for a small cabin on our rural property that has been in the family since 1908. We have been working on the cabin for almost 1.5 years. The rails are the last step.
