You dont need him to say how much hes making, there is a few youtubes out there that will tell you ho much hes making. It seems Vloggers who have good content do very well. Some can make 6 figure with right content and merchandise as well as memberships.

Wehn the host other youtube channels it helps each other gain subscribers and numbers. He does help this muller channel and visa versa.

He’s making good money and buying equipment allows him to take the depreciation expense. Owning a small business that generates legitimate revenue is a great way to accumulate some equipment.

That's how I got most of my tools and equipment.

No one has to say how much they make or charge for a job. But speaking of equipment, money is a big part of the discussion.

As far as the videos go, he must have a good formula. Never once have I shut off a video and I have increasingly little patience for creators that just want to hear themselves talk. You had better be an entertaining or captivating talker if I'm gonna listen to you. Maybe he is just an interesting very well rounded guy and you never know what he's going to do next.

I do wonder why he never gives anyone helping him or being in his shots, the slightest mention. Like they don't exist.

I don't think anyone can keep up with him... I do see his dad occasionally in a video, and a girlfriend here and there, but I think he's more about content than showcasing them & definitely doesn't use them as clickbait!

I did hear him in a video for the bridge property say that he rented a scissor lift and the Kubota excavator to the owner, but I suspect after all the money that guy spent having him work there it was kind of a favor.

I like his stuff but he is definitely a bit of a hack. When most of your truck repairs involve self drilling, self tapping screws you are not in the top 10% when it comes to craftsmanship!!! :laughing:

The chainsaw was obviously for humor. A grinder or sawzall would have worked much better. As far as hacking up the dash it was already broke all to pieces and the whole truck was junk. What was there to loose?

I've often wondered if he had a few off camera employees making all of that equipment pay for it's keep.

Iover thought everything, and was an **** perfectionist on most projects that led me to not do some projects
for fear of the project not being 'perfect"
The way Andrew slaps things together and gets away with it make me say - what the heck, do it and forget about perfection.

Remember when her screwed his truck fenders together with sheet metal scres then painted over the rust with gray paint
and then say "PERFECT"

No one on this planet would spray over rust and say that was perfect, but it works for him.

I've become an avid watcher of 'Lost and Forgotten Places on You Tube. Gly Coolness really does things I cam only dream about. He's obviously an accomplished geologist and really knows his abandoned mines and goes into places and video's them constantly. Never been a fan of going underground but his video's are very enlightening and educational.

Something about rappelling down a 600 foot deep abandoned mine shaft and exploring every nook a cranny on video is very interesting, least to me it is. Must be for others as well with over 100,000 subscribers. I watch Andrew's video's too. Always interesting with just enough New England humor to keep it interesting.

It think his rattle can painting has a purpose.
When he does a job, he wants the customer to see clean looking well maintained equipment (even though we know it is just patched together)
Presentation is a part of every job!

I’m more like Andrew. My dad is more of a perfectionist. The problem is if he can’t find a cost effective way to do something right he just doesn’t do anything. My thought is when the option is to do nothing or to do a hack job the hack job is better. Example. I cut a trailer in the side of my beater Suburban. A pro body shop would probably charge 2k. Well that wasn’t happening the vehicle is barely worth that much. I fixed it myself and it certainly wasn’t perfect or even close to that but it was a lot better than nothing.

:thumbsup: My dad was an architect and over designed and over built everything. I swing in the other direction... for sheds or covers; purlins laid out by eye, if it ain't square (and I bet that it's not) no problem.
