Ron, which bidet did you get and why? I keep looking. Don’t think I could do cold water only.

We have thought about doing the round the islands cruise with our son and family. Be especially nice if we could embark/disembark in Hilo.

Got it from Sam’s Club. Recommend by family members. Has heated seat, water and air. Kind of different looking. It is mostly plastic. But it does what it is supposed too.

We did cruise on the SS Constitution. Same ship my neighbors immigrated from Italy on.

Did you notice all the fine print on that 25% off coupon, RS?

Nah ... like I said, I got a notice from them ... hadn't bothered to actually look at the coupon yet.

Ended up using it on a 50" saw/cutting guide. Also ended up getting a couple of clamps for the 1/2 pipe I got, and one of those little pull-up LED lights.

Struck out on the wet cat food though ... but I did get the cat litter. And treats of course ...

I'd like to pick up one of their three tier carts, but carts were listed among the many things for which the coupon is invalid.

The coupons are a come on ... are you surprised ? :D

And speaking of HF, what brand of cutoff wheels are you using now?

Still using the green Warrior ones. Also have a couple of large (7" or 8" ?) ones I picked up from The Depot that I use from time to time. Gotta be careful with those though ... since they are rated for a lower speed.

In my most recent batch of ten, I've had two explode, leaving nothing but a ring of abrasive under the clamping nut. They're the Bauer brand with the red label. Never had that problem with the green Warrior brand, so I'll exchange them when I go into town this week. The Warriors are on sale as well.

I have had some problems with the Warrior ones ... although I can't say I've ever had one completely explode. It's usually more like I get a little careless on what I'm doing and portion along the outside edge will break off. Once that happens, good luck getting them back to an even circumference all the way around ... although I've never tried dressing with a stone.

They can be big-time nasty if they break/explode ... which is why I try to make an effort to keep my face well out of the plane of rotation ... probably should make a point to wear a face shield as well ...

I used to be the same way and just grin, bear it, and try to be careful. I had a cut off wheel explode one day and had a piece lodge itself in my neck

Thankfully it missed anything serious. Especially since I was in the back 40, no cell service, and 1/2 a mile of rough road to get help.

I wear a face mask everytime after that with my head tilted forward so the shield covers my neck.

Yup ... like I said: they can be big-time nasty ... I've seen the pictures. It ain't a pretty sight.

And it isn't only the thin cutoff wheels - the thicker grinding wheels can blow up too, although they may be less prone to.

That's why if they get dropped or severely banged around here they get chucked in the trash ... ;)

Yep...and if some idiot runs a non-ferrous material (aluminum, most often) on a grinder, better dress the wheel before use. Aluminum, as I'm sure you know, clogs the wheel which can overheat it and lead to a catastrophic failure.
If it don't spark, don't grind it!

When I was coming in from the shop, looked back at the sunset... saw this vernacular cloud...

I have been using the cheapest 4 1/2" cutting discs and grinding wheels from HF for years... the ones usually 'on sale' 10 for $7.99.... never had one explode. I guess I am just lucky....
