Ron, which bidet did you get and why? I keep looking. Don’t think I could do cold water only.

We have thought about doing the round the islands cruise with our son and family. Be especially nice if we could embark/disembark in Hilo.

Got it from Sam’s Club. Recommend by family members. Has heated seat, water and air. Kind of different looking. It is mostly plastic. But it does what it is supposed too.

Bio Bidet Aura A7 Special Edition Elongated Smart Bidet Toilet Seat (White) - Sam'''s Club

We did cruise on the SS Constitution. Same ship my neighbors immigrated from Italy on.

Did you notice all the fine print on that 25% off coupon, RS?

Nah ... like I said, I got a notice from them ... hadn't bothered to actually look at the coupon yet.

Ended up using it on a 50" saw/cutting guide. Also ended up getting a couple of clamps for the 1/2 pipe I got, and one of those little pull-up LED lights.

Struck out on the wet cat food though ... but I did get the cat litter. And treats of course ...

I'd like to pick up one of their three tier carts, but carts were listed among the many things for which the coupon is invalid.

The coupons are a come on ... are you surprised ? :D

And speaking of HF, what brand of cutoff wheels are you using now?

Still using the green Warrior ones. Also have a couple of large (7" or 8" ?) ones I picked up from The Depot that I use from time to time. Gotta be careful with those though ... since they are rated for a lower speed.

In my most recent batch of ten, I've had two explode, leaving nothing but a ring of abrasive under the clamping nut. They're the Bauer brand with the red label. Never had that problem with the green Warrior brand, so I'll exchange them when I go into town this week. The Warriors are on sale as well.

I have had some problems with the Warrior ones ... although I can't say I've ever had one completely explode. It's usually more like I get a little careless on what I'm doing and portion along the outside edge will break off. Once that happens, good luck getting them back to an even circumference all the way around ... although I've never tried dressing with a stone.

They can be big-time nasty if they break/explode ... which is why I try to make an effort to keep my face well out of the plane of rotation ... probably should make a point to wear a face shield as well ...

I used to be the same way and just grin, bear it, and try to be careful. I had a cut off wheel explode one day and had a piece lodge itself in my neck

Thankfully it missed anything serious. Especially since I was in the back 40, no cell service, and 1/2 a mile of rough road to get help.

I wear a face mask everytime after that with my head tilted forward so the shield covers my neck.

Yup ... like I said: they can be big-time nasty ... I've seen the pictures. It ain't a pretty sight.

And it isn't only the thin cutoff wheels - the thicker grinding wheels can blow up too, although they may be less prone to.

That's why if they get dropped or severely banged around here they get chucked in the trash ... ;)

Yep...and if some idiot runs a non-ferrous material (aluminum, most often) on a grinder, better dress the wheel before use. Aluminum, as I'm sure you know, clogs the wheel which can overheat it and lead to a catastrophic failure.
If it don't spark, don't grind it!

When I was coming in from the shop, looked back at the sunset... saw this vernacular cloud...

I have been using the cheapest 4 1/2" cutting discs and grinding wheels from HF for years... the ones usually 'on sale' 10 for $7.99.... never had one explode. I guess I am just lucky....

Have one DeWalt wheel that got used on some aluminum a number of years ago and I moved it into the "Only for use on aluminum" category ... ;)

BEF- what are you using to convert the VHS tapes- I still have one or two to convert.

I had converted from VHS to DVD years ago. I have a vhs to dvd deck. This is going from DVD to mp4.
Got all my VHS and now VHSC videos in mp4 format, all dated titles and backed up. I had done some to mpg before, but mp4 is a good bit smaller file size.
Went down this rabbit hole trying to date pictures from the 80s, before cameras that dated pics. Remembered I had video with some of the info.
I made a spreadsheet with every day back to 1970, and listed where I took pics on particular days. Not done filling it out, but got a lot of info down. It’s a tab in my genealogy spreadsheet, so kind of a history.

Toilet and Bidet installed. Had to make trip to Lowe’s for a new toilet mounting ring. Bought SS this time..
Flange ring?
Last flange mounting ring I bought didn’t last long.
You use wax ring or rubber?

   / Good morning!!!! #124,915
Will hold off on SS till I'm 65. With the new rules they have in place I lose 400 a month off the top because I have the government pension!
!

I need to know more about this change.

I saw a huge flock of blackbirds today, some were dropping out to feed in the fields and rejoin the flock. It was as far as I could see in both directions, headed north. Not sure what that indicates.

That sounds like one ambitious undertaking. I hope someone in future really appreciates your work. 🤙

Good evening all. 35F for the start, light breeze, mostly clear sky. Sky cleared off, light wind and 60F for the high. Chapel to start, make wife breakfast, the deliver meals, and lunch while in town. Watch 1/2 Cowboys game then napped. They lost so no playoff hope :(
Covid update: Cooke, Montague, Grayson, local unchanged.
Ron good luck with toilet install, great Cardinal pic
Drew, Glad you don't have to worry about money. Hope it is a dead heat between money and like longevity.
Phil wife went through less SS because of pension as well. However pension includes medical benefits are big plus.
Thomas enjoy the energy conservation.
Roy enjoy last day off, new boss tomorrow?
Ron hope you can make trip soon
Billy glad you got by without flippers! Glad siding and caulking and staining ok after rain. Congrats on middle son engagement. When "they" started talking about SS as entitlement, I got nervous and started taking it at 62.
Bill just be careful what you type! ;)
Rich glad getting out of the house went well.
Kyle, glad kids are getting a kick out of the phonograph. Sorry to hear about your uncle, prayers for family
RNG understand where you are coming from my financial history similar to yours but no loan on first car ( a beater), and folks paid college tuition and books. No axes and SS are rackets, you did not miss anything :( sorry about off day
Mike sorry retirement did not work out for you. Because wife pension had medical I was able to retire early
Don Hope to get some update info on vaccine availability in Cooke, but just got call Dr i Covid quarantine, not sure she is coming out, so that on hold. We can't use paper bags for lawn waste until Covid is under control.
Ted easy to see why the requests for your woodwork. Glad the stove igniter taken care of.
DF hope little man makes it out of hospital soon.
David enjoy your football.
Dennis nice sense of humor.
RS oy the town trip
Bill Bull Shoals lake is deeper than 120 feet in many parts.
Bird, what I hear from my neighbor, is they are still changing plan, but he beat the worst of it.
RNG the pilots get the worst of that deal, forced retirement at 60 due to FAA medical issues, anyone who retires early can lose benefits even if retirement is forced.
Ron glad you enjoyed the cruise, mom was a big cruise fan, wife not so much.
Roy hope commute goes ok
DF not a pretty story concerning cut-off wheel
Ted cool cloud.
prayers for all especially Jay/Peg, Kyle's daughter/family of uncle, David(moss)/remodel/divorce, RNG/fire, Ron/hearing/son/furnace, Jim/sister & family, Phil/wife's eyes, Randy/health, and Country.
stay safe and health you all.

My neighbor also said she had to check with her doctor about the vaccine. However my Mom, brother and I think Bird also did not check with their doctor just got on the list from the placed on the Texas health dept. website where the vaccine was distributed.
