At what point did you say "Maybe this wasn't such a good idea, after all!"
If you haven't been there at least once your tractor isn't even broken in.

The OP's link could be a good start for the perennial "R1 vs R4 vs Turf" argument. (I don't think thattire tread mattered in his case... he was paunched any way that you look at it.)

Unusually Wet fall, trying to get a job finished and backfilled. Often, you can travel one same path a number of times before you run out of luck. Going up even a slight grade will work against you. It's all math!

I have found that the absolutely best way to escape being stuck in the mud is to not put the tractor there in the first place. If you walk over your field and your feet get stuck, there is absolutely no reason to bring your tractor out there. Keep it in the barn where it belongs. A prime example would be the first video. Just what in the wide world of sports did he thing he was going to do with a tractor out there?

Yep excavator can save lot time digging out and cussing.

The 80 that weighs 4 times as much could probably drive out there, pull out the tractor and level up the ruts. Tracks make a world of difference.
