Good Morning!!!! 65F @ 4:45AM. Sunny. High 83F. Winds NW at 10 to 15 mph.
Still under a Red Flag Warning, and power is set to be turned off in the next hour or two. Indications this one will last a day or so, but the wind returns on the weekend, so we'll have to see about that one when it comes.
You're laying the groundwork for a beautiful spring, Drew. Hope the augering is easy. All too well I know about rocks!
Redwing blackbirds are a sign of summer around here, Ron, and you captured a beaut!
Ammunition has been in short supply for quite a while over here, too, Eric. Too much political uncertainty and civil unrest has people back to stockpiling again. Sorry about your fingerprints, can't you type in a password somewhere instead? The newer iPhones have abandoned the fingerprint reader in favor of FaceID, but now everyone has to drop their mask to unlock their phone. Another boneheaded move from Apple's design team.
I think she was telling you how much she appreciated having the cushy part of the arrangement, Mike.
I haven't seen Lysol spray since the pandemic started, Don. Just checked at McMaster yesterday for real N95 masks, and they're still unavailable, too. As is anti-bacterial soap.
The shop teachers were pretty strict in making us scrape all the excess glue off our joints, Ted. Said it would chip the planer blades if we didn't, and our boards always had bumps from chipped blades they didn't have the funding to replace. I put an inexpensive Delta dust catcher on the small Delta planer I parked on an old 24" roll away, but I have to take light cuts or it'll clog. I think when it comes to vacuum dust collectors, there's no such thing as too much suck.
Glad you were prepared for that flat, Rick. My money is on the old sidewall repair being the culprit; all that flexing is hard on patches. Built a very similar cabinet way back in high school shop class. Now I park a little disc/band sander on it.
Looks like good progress, David. You'll know when you've spent enough time thinking about those cuts.
Finished last run of drip line on the roof yesterday. Seems like no matter how much time I spend thinking through what I'm going to do, I still end up on the roof needing to make another trip down and back up the ladder for something I forgot. Yesterday at HD I tried to buy caps for the drip lines but they didn't stock them. I wanted to put a T in at the bottom of each circuit and use the cap as a drain. Ended up getting little valves on 1/4" barbs instead. They'll work find, but will take longer to do the job. But I won't lose the cap!
The lighter throttle springs I ordered for the white bike showed up yesterday, so I'll be able to get the carbs mounted today and button up the intake system. Not sure what else is on the agenda, but I do need to make some phone calls and see to some paperwork. Be a good day to be inside, especially if the wind picks up as predicted.
Hang in there, gang, Friday's comin'!
