Good morning!!!!

Good morning. It was 71° this morning and our high will be about 91°.

I got almost 4 hours of Kubota ZT seat time, yesterday morning, and the tire repair held. The air pressure was still @ 20 psi.

I mowed around the house and then around a bunch of trees in the morning. After lunch, I got on the 55 HP tractor with the rear finish mower and got another 4+ hours seat time in the yard. Today .. I plan some more low branch tree trimming, to be able to mow more with the tractor / RFM.

Roy .. every couple of years, I remove my PTO shafts, take off all the guards, and spray everything with Simple Green Pro degreaser. Then pressure wash everything and set all in the hot sun to dry. When I start reassembly I give the sliding parts of the shaft a good coat of fluid film, put everything together, then grease the u-joint fittings and the ones on the guards.

RNG .. good work on your tank. I've had several occasions where a long cheater bar didn't work but .. a pneumatic impact did. Rust seems to give in to the bang bang of the impacts.

Don .. your Apple Watch makes my Fitbit Charge 3 seem like a toy. You mentioned yesterday, heart rate of 5 BPM??

Happy birthday to Ken and a Randy today.

Drew .. stay safe.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Prayers to all.

Yes, prayers for safe re-entry and landing.

Ron, hope your wasp stings are better. If I get a sting or bite, I take some benedryl. So do the drones that fly off of the Ipads/phone use bluetooth? How does an apple product communicate with them if they get far away or out of sight?

Rick, glad the tire is holding. Sounds like sage advice on the PTO shafts.

Just had my coffee. Yummy.

Hope all have a blessed day and birthdays to our birthday boys.

hopefully no more banged heads now. This doesn't look very straight but I'll fiddle with it some more. Tons left over.

very worrisome email from my next older brother in New Hope PA. Said he started getting all classic symptoms of Covid yesterday, went and got tested
immediately but has no idea how long it will take to get results. As you might imagine, entire family very worried about him. He always wears a mask and
has been working mostly from home; all his accounting staff will likely now get tested.

The Apple Watch has a breathing app that by sight and feel (increase wrist variable vibrations on deep inhaling, low variable vibrations on exhaling) it coaches deep breathing techniques. Each session last for 1 minute. Heart rate was LOWERED 5-BPM, from 74 to 69.

No Benedryl in house. Did not want to go out and get it. So took Tylenol and put some 1% hydrocortisone on it. Helped a lot. No swelling. Still a little pain today. Not enough to take anything.
Drone fly's on WiFi. 4 km FCC (2.5 miles) is stated range. Range depends on how strong signal is from phone or pad. 1/4 miles is what I want. So I can go from one end of my property to other. It's 1184' deep. When signal is lost with iPad/iPhone. Drone controller takes over and returns to home.

72F and cloudy @ 12:00, had some rain earlier. Quite breezy at the moment. High only predicted to hit 75F, more rain expected later.

I got hit by the "couldn't get to sleep" bug night before last (probably should have skipped the after dinner coffee ) so short day yesterday.

Dig manage to get the drain line that drains the circle into the catch basin dug out and reconnected:

IMG_5122 copy.jpg

It had gotten disconnected when one (or more) trucks had backed over it while the ground was wet, smashing the line down into the mud. Once that happened all sorts of erosion occurred. Laid in some bentonite which will hope plug any leaks then I went up and scrapped the weeds off a pile of dirt that I had previously screened. Uncovered a large bumblebee nest in the process of doing that ... saw probably 50 of them swarming around trying to get back into the hole that went down to there nest.

Still managed to get a bucketful of dirt, used that to partially fill in around catch basin ... still have more to fill in, but I figured I'd let it get good and wet and settle some before I did any more.

Given the weather, it looks like today will mostly be an inside day ... which is no problem, since there is no shortage of things to do inside.

Hope everyone has an enjoyable, productive, and safe day ...

68°F and .35 inches rain

Will be working on the broken door today. No feedback for any of the queries, not even Millard, but wife prefers something more substantial than just the tarp. Seems closest Alexander is on Maui do that’s out. Convinced her that a piece of Luan ply would be a good but inexpensive temp fix. My plan was to pickup a sheet at HH yesterday. But I wandered down to the window department and surprised to find 3 sheets of their Optics acrylic. Guess they didn’t show in inventory due to busted corner. Found an associate and she immediately took off 15%. Got my usual 10% off at register. So while probably not the permanent repair it should be sufficient.

My iPad failed the diagnostics so is on its way to Apple, most likely to be replaced. Good opportunity to order new case and screen protector.

Putting together a casserole with wife’s leftover lasagna sauce from freezer and fresh picked zucchini., chicken breast and cheese.

All you East coasters stay safe

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Drew - hope your brother is ok, glad you found a good solution for the sharp edges and pointy corners ... take care and be safe ... and keep those hatches battened down ...

Rick - glad to hear your tire repair is holding. I noticed that the rear trailing tire on the Simplicity leaked down overnight. Thankfully I have a brand new replacement for it up in the shop ... and it's even the correct one ! Have to get that put on tomorrow when the tire shop opens up.

Ted - hope you and your neighbor are feeling better soon and you get some rain. On making the rest of y'all look bad: doubtful ... Remember: pics on that bench ... :D

Don - nice looking weather station ... good tip on the soapy water ...

RNG - 2x on wearing a watch, although I gave it up when the phone provided the functionality. Good luck on your tank restoration project and sorting out that self-leveling FEL.

Ron - Nice lily pic ... glad to hear you are some action on the sparrow trapping ... and that the pain from the stings is diminishing ...

BEF - glad you are getting some rain ... hope the aches and pains ease up soon.

Thomas - love the puttering ... (also E Muffin ...)

MG - Thanks. Looks like you got another impressive ride in the books ... Liking the sound of those lobster tails and that zucchini casserole ... ;)

Phil - hope you get the AC handled in short order.

Eric - Thanks on the flicker nest box ... have been seeing quite a few juvenile flickers so hoping someone takes me up on the offer. On the bentonite, it seemed like a reasonable proposition in theory: the granules were small and dry and easily flowed in to fill the hole ... we'll see how it works out in practice ... :confused3:

Drew - Thanks - it sure felt like it (getting a lot done)

Billy - Thanks - I hope so too. Hoping Coco continues to improve.

Ron - beautiful sky pic, yup I caught it on the Menards rebate ... thanks ! ;)

Don Phew
Read your original post as your heart beat was only 5bpm. Mine is usually in the 60’s, but not unusual to be in 50s if very relaxed.

I hadn’t worn a watch in many years and was reluctant to get the Apple Watch for that reason. Now it find it quite useful. I’m amazed how work tolerant, although I was beating on something the other day and triggered the fall alarm. The real challenge was getting the glove off other hand to cancel.
