got caught in severe downpour this afternoon driving back to Washington to pick up my laundry, which previous next door neighbor
volunteered to do for me. Roads were flooded and 255 tires on Audi did not like standing water at all. Never hydroplaned but felt like a boat
in a bad seas with water cascading up over hood of car. This is making me rethink moving rv tomorrow because I have to bring it home on Tuesday due to Wed morning
chemo infusion at hospital. And the forecast for Tuesday is improving, but not good at all. If driving an awd car with good tires is this dicey in downpours, driving the
rv will be no fun at all. I might be trading one risk for another. So far wind is projected at 31 mph at peak, should be doable. Just wish it wasn't a night event, always better when you can see...
Will look at weather forecast again tomorrow and make a decision. Currently only 3mph less wind further West and surprisingly double the expected rain.
Bought four heavy rubber wheel chocks at Harbor Freight this morning, typical nasty Chinese rubber smell.
