Mark II Pistol? That's a short bbl., and that = noise.

I know, it's kind of a compromise. Walking out across the lawn with a rifle is much more conspicuous. If a police car goes past at the wrong time I'm looking at two charges; shooting in city limits, and hunting on Sunday. I don't consider shooting a varmint to be hunting, yet the powers that be do. A rifle also will carry farther. My weapon of choice would be the 12 gauge which was always up over the door when he was alive and healthy.

I emplore you, to have empathy for these poor critters.

It's one of the few regrets in life that I have. It tortures my sole, that I can't undue the past. My disregard and terrible treatment of these feeling creatures.

Where do you live? I will send you a half dozen. Of course, by next year you will have at least twice that many. I'm only trying to rid about an acre of the property, they can have the other 30.
First though, they'd have to fight their cousins who are already established there.

I chucked my woodchucks into the woods a few miles away. No houses even close. Land around the area wasn't even being farmed at the time. Over a few days, I got about 6. They all went to the same area where they could reunite.

I knew there was a reason I've never lived in a town. I haven't seen a squad car down my road in about 5 years. I would welcome more Police traffic here.

Now I know why the groundhog population increased here.
Thank you very little.

When the property was bought back in eighteen hundred and something, the city wasn't as close. OTOH if not for them, the greenhouse business wouldn't have survived for the past hundred+ years.

My mother is 83 YO, I don't mind at all that there's a heavy police presence in the area. OTOH I'm 200 miles away and don't believe that I've ever seen any law officers on my road here.
