In these times it seems like everything we read is bad or sad. We need one happy thread to cheer us up. Help me out guys. No downer replies on this thread.

I'll start it off with a few.

* I'm thankful that my teenage bride and I are still together after 55 years.

* I'm thankful that I have a large screen HD TV to watch old movies and reruns of the most popular sporting events.

* I'm thankful that I have You Tube where I can watch the talented actors on the old Amos and Andy shows where it is impossible to keep from having a laugh or two.

* I'm thankful that I moved from the suburbs to a 20 acre spread where I can walk or trail ride a mile without leaving my property.

* I'm thankful that I live in America where no one has to die of hunger or get shot for being out on the streets instead of social distancing in their own home.

I have plenty more but now it's your turn. Please cheer me up.

With all due respect to the OP... Aren't you a bit old to have a teenage bride? ;)

Most of all, the woman on my right that said yes 25 years ago.

I am thankful for my health.

Perhaps this may sound selfish but I am extremely thankful I don’t have aging parents or young children or grandkids to worry about at this difficult time. .

I am thankful for having had a great relationship with my mom and dad.

Most of all I am thankful that I can appreciate and enjoy all the things life has to offer.

We were both teenagers 55 years ago. And they said it would never last...

I am thankful that if I ever have a question I can easily find the answer by either using Google or asking some of my friends on TBN.

I'm thankful for many things, and often. An 'attitude of gratitude' is a way of life for me.

First and foremost, I'm thankful for the health and wellbeing of my wife and kids. I'm thankful to still have a job so I can continue to support my family. I'm thankful for modern conveniences, to have a roof over my head, hot and cold running water, food to fill my belly, and of course, tractors! The list is long, these are just a few off the top of my head... be well, friends.

I knew what you meant, just trying to be a smart aleck.

I'm thankful that we are still able to joke around and have some fun while waiting for the major part of this pandemic to blow over.

That I have no debt and nothing unfinished out there in these difficult and uncertain times.

tallyho... great idea.

I am thankful for a healthy and happy family... even though I can only hug one of them right now.

I am thankful for my employer that is treating his employees like family.

I am thankful my dad encouraged me to learn and DIY when I was young.

I am thankful for my wife who always keeps me grounded and enforcing me not to forget the most important things in life.

Ya know... there sure is a lot to be thankful for!

I am thankful that my father who survived the great depression, taught me financial responsibility. Now I can enjoy my senior years with one less thing to worry about.

A savior who died for my sins, wife, kids, parents (although we can’t see them at this time), a job, health, a great job, and all the material stuff.

Too many things to list here, but I'll give a few of the things I am thankful for.

Wife, 2 daughters, 4 grandkids and #5 due in about a month.
My health is good.
Wife and I are both still working.
I have a job that I really enjoy. (I own the business).
I get to go deer hunting every year with friends.
It's crawfish season.
I'm thankful that I live in South Louisiana.

I could go on and on and on.....

Things I'm thankful for:

Wife, kids, and grandkids are all healthy.

Finally able to have back yard deck and porch built.

Working longer hours to have 3 day weekends. Priceless.

All is good with our cows, horses, donkeys, and dogs.

Mother in law with dementia is able to live next door instead of in a nursing home.

Still able to go to work.

God is good.

I received my Navy wings of gold at NAS New Iberia, in 1964.
Loved my time there!
