Curious too if the other side was the same way? Or if the cutter was just shifted all the way right for some reason?

Please excuse my ignorance but what is a "tail wheel" ? Also the stabilizer bar has several holes in it and the pin is in the hole closest to the tractor.

Tail wheel = the rear wheel on your rotary cutter
Yes, you are correct, the pin is in the hole for the widest position, but at the end of the arm, where it attaches to the axle of the tractor, there may (or may not) be an optional hole so you can shorten the arm. If you can shorten the arm there, you can utilize the other adjustable stabilizer arm positions and make it easier to get the bush hog off

How big is the cutter? It might have a CAT 2 3 point (wider width at the mount) with CAT 1 pins on it. My XG3025 has at least 6 inches of side to side adjustability (4+ inches of travel on the stabilizers) . I would move the pins on the mower to face inboard.

From the pic, you didn’t take the stabilizer bar pin out.

You’re talking about this right?

So did you get the hay spear on okay?

Thanks everyone for your input. I put my hay spear on did what I had to with it and put the 5 foot cutter back on. It was a chore but I had it on and leveled in about 30 minutes. Thanks again, Don

So that means you figured out how to pull the stabilizer pins on BOTH sides to make the lower links as wide as possible?

Sometimes I use a bar or steel fence post for leverage to help align the implement.

It will get easier with practice.

I pulled the stabilizer pins off both sides when I took off the cutter. The picture was a picture just to show everyone my original set up.

So will the arms spread wide enough to clear the pins on both attachments?

If you have to change implements a lot, you may want to consider this TBN Sponsor's Quick Hitch.

That looks pretty awesome. However at this point being a new tractor owner all I have is the cutter and a hay spear. I do however want to get a 15 inch or so post hole digger and pallet forks.

My suggestion as well. Have had mine for years and makes it much less of a chore when changing implements. You can also buy them here through TBN. Usually have a discount on Black Friday.

Question, why would you buy a 3 point hay spear with a front end loader?
As far as the quick attach, I would not use it with a PHD.

Warning - may not work with a 5' KK tiller
I have to remove my PECs when I put my 5' tiller on. Not enougg clearance.

It’s a bit hard to tell for sure but isn’t this a clip pin that holds the front stabilizer mount, if so just pull this pin and slide the bar off the front mount to allow the arms to move out farther to hook up. Adjustments.jpg

I would guess with the size of the tractor that it is....if just moving bales around and not loading/unloading or stacking....a 3ph spear is a much smarter move
