Based on what I can find out I will be receiving the standard payment. My question is, "Why?"... somebody like me, who could be faced with the tough decision of putting it toward a grapple, or maybe a Hudson sawmill.
It's the sort of decision suggested by an economist, along with just alleviating misery. A dollar spent buying equipment manufactured in the US has a multiplier effect. As I recall from class years ago that dollar will trickle down through six subsequent employed people - suppliers, truckers, barbers, grocers, babysitters. Setting the cutoff that high, $150k, is aimed toward getting the economy moving.

Boston 150 Healthcare workers Infected with the Virus

US Now has more infected than Any other Country in the World.
I really find that hard to believe. Especially with the amount of people in china. I doubt they reported the true numbers.

I really don't get the point of constantly posting doom and gloom stories. I was all negative about this for a long time, but then realized there is nothing I can do to change the outcome other than to maintain social distancing like I have been. I stay isolated on our property with my boys whilel my wife goes to work as a pharmacist each day (very high exposure).Yeah, this sucks, but it's out of our hands what the government does, the virus does, and what our fellow man does. Stop spending your time worrying so much is what I would suggest.

Just reported on the Austin news:
Of the 140 cases in central Texas only 5 require hospitalization.

Texas has canceled elective surgeries and that as resulted in opening an extra 3,000 beds.

81% of the cases reported have mild symptoms.

In my area, mild symptoms don’t get tested, they tell you to self quarantine and call if it gets worse.

People should, however, worry enough to take this business seriously. This is NOT the time to let down your guard. We're still on the upswing and things will get worse before they inevitably get better.

That doesn't apply here. There was no lack of demand for products, until CV-19 came along. There still wouldn't be, if people weren't told to stay home. This isn't like 2009 when everybody was broke and the economy needed a jump start. People need cash for groceries, health insurance,... and toilet paper. Lots and lots of toilet paper. Giving money to people like me who don't need it is merely running up the national debt... ironically, with China holding the paper.

:dollarsign: House passes $2.2T stimulus bill :dollarsign:

House passes $2.2T rescue package

Reading the article, it seems like they all should now be sent to their rooms until they learn to behave like civilized human beings.

I remember in civics class all of those years ago, (1971 +-) being told that our elected officials set higher standards for the rest of us to try to live up to.

Only a matter of time before we separate an unusually high infection rate* from the comparative death rates of other post 2K flu variants and other nasties.

(* more closely followed/feared)

We have more cases, and more people than many countries. Young people die too, but someone said here that 54% of them have health limitations or personal challenges. Italians have lost a lot of people, one statistic showing an avreage age of death at 79.5.

Can we just wish this away? I sometimes think we'd try to. Funny how so many of us now give a rat's backside about any other State than our own.

If the stories are true then the point is to spread that truth. The truth will set us free from the pandemic.

If your neighbors come for your toilet paper - well a man's gotta do what he's gotta do.

Who knows? I have a friend that has a 9mm for home protection. He wants to get a shotgun so his wife can use it easier than the 9mm. I told him to ditch the 9mm and get a revolver. It's the least complicated of anything. He said he wants to get both. I'm just shaking my head.

I wonder what the actual guns-per-household number is. It can't be figured out, I suppose, because so many households have multiple guns. And so many have none. You'd have to ask the gun households how many they have, but they aren't going to tell you because they're afraid someone will try and take them away, etc....

Anywho, we just go another one.... I removed the .38 special from my in-law's house with my mother-in-law's permission as the 92 year old toddler sometimes wonders around the house unsupervised when she's sleeping.
