Well it would be nice to have the antibody test readily available. It is coming, but may take a while. The question is though, if you do take an antibody test, and then find out you DIDN'T have it uh would you feel better or would you feel more threatened? Since some are saying we are all going to get it, I would think you would feel better if you tested positive for it. Like, 'whew, I lived thru that" and go on with life.
Also, you may have unusually valuable blood!

My kids college shut down while he was home on spring break. Car and all his stuff stuck there 1000 miles away.
Tell us where (general local) and some of the younger TBN'ers may help you to secure it.

Keep the graphs coming.

The concern I have with "targeted" shelter in place orders for densely populated urban areas (that are epicenters) is those who can leave the area will migrate to find a place that is still "normal". This will put rural areas at greater risk. The urban "escapees" will be going to rural stores to get supplies and spread the virus. And I do not see the roads out of these cities being "locked down".

We do not welcome "outsiders" in the rural area I live in as is. It took me a couple of years to get accepted once I moved here over 7 years ago. I can see conflicts arising.

In a similar vein. My son's gf works in a hospital in NYC. She is scared and wants to leave NYC to join him in Michigan. Not thrilled with that but I understand his desire to try to protect her. But when I asked him if he has enough food for them to both quarantine for 14 days he said no. Even smart people are not thinking things through. He has plenty of money, but does not think like me in terms of preparedness.

I wonder if our "freedoms" are gong to bite us in the butt.
Don't be concerned about 14 days, that's a diet plan. Be concerned about 140 days at least.
I'm thinking salt licks might be advisable.

There is just so few concrete things that we know about what is behind COVID-19 and every time some new news story runs it just raises more questions it seems. Lot of local stories about people who had the flu last fall but tests would come back negative. I think we have been spreading this virus for at least 6 months now.

Coronavirus spreads to at least SIX Amazon warehouses shipping packages to isolated Americans The US Sun

Maybe the UV lamp box is a good idea after all.
For small packages, otherwise rubber gloves and sunlight.

Keep cool, stay spaced out.

If the US population were told to exercise good hygiene and we left it at that would the "epidemic" be any worse than a normal flu season? If I said the China virus would cause 30,000 - 60,000 deaths this year if we didn't quarantine would that be acceptable? Because that was the statistic for last years flu "epidemic".

So where is the root cause for the panic?

I just heard that keeping Amazon packages on the porch for a day should negate the virus on the cardboard. This from a resident doctor on a TV network.

My closest neighbor (with a vehicle) is 2 miles away. No issue with keeping a package on my porch that long....but cannot see that workable in the cities...unless someone has a big unfriendly dog to park beside it.

I went to the grocery store yesterday evening. 45 min. to closing time. Not too many other shoppers. Maybe 20 or 30. I had found a n-95 in the shop. I was the only person in the store wearing one. I didn't even look for sanitizer or wipes. No tp , no yeast, flour low, cheese low, fully stocked in nuts and dried fruit, plenty of fruits and vegetables. No line at registers. I felt sorry for the clerks. No protective equipment. OSHA would bust your chops if you made your employees work in a hazardous environment without safety gear ordinarily. Heard this morning that we are supposed to donate our extra safety gear to the hospitals. That seems pretty sorry to me but it is what it is.
