I just ordered a set to try out, I'm always putting casters/wheels on SOMETHING. If they hold up, $30 a set beats $85 a set for sure... Steve

Harbor Freight and the Wuhan Flu....

Wonder how it will impact HF's supply lines? I jeep reading about the drastic decline in overseas container shipping from China. Maersk reported a 75% drop in container traffic over the last 2 weeks, same with the other carriers.

In as much as HF's stuff mostly comes from China, I wonder if the shelves will start getting bare. No product coming in equals no product to sell. I also read that the I-Phone production has basically ceased as well.

Of course then, no one knows how the 'bug' is transmitted or the life of it so those tools and goods coming in may well be carriers of the Wuhan Flu...... Scary stuff.

Of course what you read and the way it is, is usually 2 different things. Hard to believe news sources today as it's all laced with propaganda anyway.

I do know the Maersk stats are accurate so there must be a tangible impact and... Walmart just stated that some items may be in short supply in their retail stores as well.

Better suck up those HF import tools while you can get them as they may not be there in a month....

There is normally a huge slowdown for anything China related at Lunar New Year. We are just comming off lunar new year, which explains a large part of that 75% for last month. I think we are about to see those type of numbers continue though as a effects of the quarantine stuff & other panic issues continue.

I bet Schmid don't have a lot of 20% off sales in the near future either. Stuff is gonna be hard to come by and at a premium price. Wonder How Grizzly Industrial is faring? Most everything they sell comes in a container.

If anyone's interested - here's a first-person account of an ordinary family in Wuhan that can't leave their modern subdivision. (Photo). The HOA is contracting to bring in bulk deliveries of necessities.

I dont think it's a matter of possibly having the virus shipped over in a container. They are still working out how its transmitted, but it seems to be mostly person to person rather than via surfaces. Transmission of Coronavirus Disease 219 (COVID-19) | CDC it's more an issue of quarantined workers cant make it to the factories to make the stuff to put in the containers.

I don't consume alcohol so all I know is, I pick up the empties that people toss out around here, take them home, rinse them out and bag 'em and take them to the collection center and get a dime for every one. My only experience with Buttweiser.

The container I refer to and a beer can have nothing in common.

I read the entire letter including all the links. Very telling, very sad too. All because someone let the cat out of the bag so to speak at the research lab next to the market. What a bust.

For casters, I have a few sets from Fastlane USA, here is a link for some of their 3 1/2 inch casters. $20 for a set of 2 swivel, 2 stationary. They have a bunch of other stuff too. I have received orders from them within 4 days.

I had these on my BH (1,000 # ) dolly . Never had a problem with them, rolled real easy.

Man, I wish I could get a dime apiece for all the cans I pick up in the road in front of my place!! I'd have a new tractor!

Only useful thing I'f found for empty beer cans is to collect the deposit and when I'm bored, to TIG two of them together ends butted.

Has anyone tried the HF Pneumatic Paint Shaker? Some of the video reviews show it used for gallons, quarts, and even rattle cans.
