Farmtrac 300 DTC won't start

I have a bad switch on the clutch safety switch. This is the one that won't allow the tractor to start unless the clutch is depressed. Took it out and wiggled it around and it started working. Now nothing I can do will allow the tractor to crank. This thing has 4 connector wires and I am seeing a new one looks like it's about $300. wow a switch can't cost that much. I know I probably won't get any help with bypassing the switch. Someone please help

Gee, my Craftsman mower has a switch like that. It's really two switches in one. One set of contacts is normally open. When you depress the clutch they close. The other set is normally closed. When you depress the clutch they open. To bypass the switch you need to leave one pair of wires open. The other pair needs to be connected. You'll have to find a wiring diagram for your tractor. That's just how my mower seat is wired. I will concede $300 seems a bit steep for one switch. You may wish to check eBay.

Found one for 54$. Is this it? That part number does match with the one on the parts manual.

No, engine will not turn over as part of the start circuit.
