I brought my CK2610 (1-year old, 160 hours) to the dealer for routine service and to check on a suspected leak in the front axel. The work was scheduled and I was expecting a day or two turnaround. The leak was confirmed, and new seals are needed. Hopefully, it's covered by a warranty.

It's now been two weeks and the dealer is telling me that the parts haven't even shipped. They say Kioti was "hacked" and hasn't shipped parts since September 15th. Kioti customer service says they are manually processing orders first come, first serve and their backlog is "thousands of orders deep."

Has anyone else run into this recently? Being without out tractor on our small farm during the fall is crippling. And at this point, we have no idea when we will get it back. If it weren't for it being under warranty we'd get the tractor back and source parts and repair ourselves. And if it weren't for the cost of having the tractor moved (we can't truck it ourselves) we'd get it and run it for a while while keeping a close eye on the gear oil levels.

I feel your pain. I waited 7 months for a gear for the front axle of my Case. Called everywhere including looking for used with no luck.

Have you considered sourcing the seal locally from a bearing supplier or some such, giving it to the dealer, and having him install it? Seals are pretty much seals, it's not likely Kioti makes them.

Ya I would go by the dealer, get the bad ones then source locally.

You might try Michigan City Iron. They are a big Kioti dealer and I have had good success in getting parts from them.

OP, yes, I've heard of the reported hack at Kioti recently. A buddy just took delivery of a new DKSE HST cab without the rear windshield wiper that he'd requested because the dealer was unable to get the part in time due to the disruption from the hack. Instead, the kit was drop-shipped directly to my friend, and the dealer will be making a farm call to install it for him.

If your tractor is still under warranty, I myself would use third-party sourcing for the seals only if I did it through the servicing Kioti dealer. Under Magnuson-Moss, the consumer has flexibility in sourcing parts other than from the manufacturer. But in this instance, having the dealer do it would avoid any dispute over equivalency and cost, as well as assure it wouldn't jeopardize coverage of the labor component of the repair.

If you can get a number off the actual seal, most bearing/seal places can cross reference it to one they carry. Otherwise, the outer dimension of the seal, the dimension of the shaft going thru it and the 'thickness' dimension of the seal will get you one as well. No excuse in waiting weeks and weeks for something that simple.

Seal on front hub went out on my 2011 Yanmar over the weekend....I ordered it yesterday morning over the phone from a dealer 1 1/2 hours from me (closest), got it UPS this afternoon about 4pm.

And if they haven't taken the front end apart, you might need bearings as well......failed bearing is what chewed up the seal on mine.

Kioti was hacked and are in the process of getting their system back up to speed. I heard this on Saturday when I was speaking to my dealer.

I heard a similar story about a "bad virus". The third remote kit wasn't available at the local distribution center in TX and had to come from NC. It is supposed to be delivered tomorrow from an order last Friday (3 business days). This is the last piece to complete my new NX5010C, so I should take delivery late this week.

MICHIGAN IRON & EQUIPMENT ??? Morrice Michigan..

Your dealer should fix you up with a loaner while they outsource the correct seals.

That's what a real ag dealer would do. They would make sure you could get your work done.

Sad

I heard the hack was bad. Probably ransonware, that’s been happening to a ton of school districts and semi large companies over the last 24 months.

The rumor is it will be a few weeks until it’s back up, and even then it will take time to fulfill orders.

Find it hard to believe they didn't have a backup of their server system they could roll back to.

While our company isn't on the scale of Kioti we do nightly server backups for numerous reasons. Fire, ransomware, virus, hard drive crashes. It's saved our bacon a few times when a raid drive failed without any notice.

To be down for what, 4+ weeks now due to a hack? Inexcusable in my opinion. Local Subaru plant was victim of ransomware this week, took them all of 12 hours to get their entire factory back online which consisted of several hundred computers and a couple thousand tools.

Well, my rear remote kit did not show up today as the dealer expected and told me it should. :(

It’s not the first time their business system has been down for an extended period of time.

Your dealer needs to call / email and manually give the parts order. Kioti is shipping parts for emergency / tractor down orders. (Also, I've been told that systems should be back to normal yesterday. However, they will have a backlog to catch up on.)

I called my dealer this morning to see if they could source the parts elsewhere. They made it sound like this was a radical idea and said "No, they are Kioti parts they come from Kioti." Regardless, I got the part numbers. I called Michigan Iron and Equipment. They have all the parts in stock. The total price is $107 plus shipping. I called my dealer back to see if they'd purchase from M.I.E., install and process as a warranty claim. He said no, but maybe he could it as a claim if I bought the parts. I'm calling BS.

I called Denise back at M.I.E., and as I am sure you all know, they are awesome. She said if my dealer tells Kioti that these parts are for a down tractor, they WILL send the parts. She also said she will set my parts aside in case my dealer comes to their senses and calls to order the parts from them. If my dealer doesn't do that within a couple of hours I will just call and order the parts from M.I.E. myself. One way or another, I am going to make sure my parts are shipped today. I just wish my dealer would take the same initiative.

Side note: Denise asked who my dealer was, and when I told her she said "I know them. They order from us at times. I am sending them two thumbs today."

Most of us dealers will extend atleast a discount to each other when transferring parts. You should have your dealer call M.I.E. unless they are closer to Kioti in N.C.

For some reason my dealer made it sound like transfering parts between dealers wasn't even a thing. I am still trying.

It is Ag. Fair and Snowmobile Grass Drag season up here, and it's clear that my dealer is far more concerned with selling more Equipment than taking care of those who have bought Equipment. I am sure that isn't a rare thing.

P.S. I think it's clear from my posts that I am extremely frustrated with my dealer, but I am intentionally trying to not slander them, or call them out by name. My annoyance hasn't reached that level.

It's not necessarily a thing, but it can be done. But we request parts from other dealerships and vice versa, as need.
