I read through this just now. Generally, I'm quicker on the draw, but today feels like a Spring Monday. Phones ringing off the hook and more emails than you can shake a stick at.

Even though the conversation went on farther than it usually does before I get a chance to respond, I feel at peace with where it currently is. The guys providing explanations, I think, did as well as I could have and nothing they said stood out as inaccurate.

Concerning payment. We've always taken payment when the order is placed. If it were any other way, it requires us to call the customer back prior to shipping because our system doesn't retain CC numbers more than 3 weeks. We refuse to write the numbers down and be responsible for them. So, we now have hundreds of people to call back and we can't hardly even handle the incoming call volume. It just doesn't make sense.

We are totally doing all within our means to lower build times and our free shipping policy has successfully remained the same for quite a few years. Even though we keep setting sales records with very high demand, this new facility is starting to really show it's ability to produce more efficiently. As someone mentioned, the build time has been lowered from 12 weeks to more like 8 currently. It is still much longer than we desire and we'll continue to work towards better than reasonable. Believe me, we HATE it as much as the guys waiting, but we certainly LOVE the amount of people willing to wait as well as all of you who say the wait is well worth it.

We could add enough to all of our prices to cover shipping to any and every residence from here to wherever under the sun, but the bottom line is that everyone would be paying more, rather than just a few who choose home delivery vs. shipping to a business or the normally convenient freight terminal pickup. Bottom line, we give you the choice and are always happy to discuss those options. Call, email, facebook, TBN, YouTube, Instagram. I think we're the most accessible and responsive manufacturer in the industry.

Just how many pallet fork frames or EA copied pine straw rake frames can Titan fit in a shipping container from China? Lots, but when I compare the prices of the EA attachments they get those chinamen to copy vs. our USA made quality attachments, I see that the steel tariffs have really leveled the playing field.

If any of this doesn't make sense, it's because I typed much of it in between calls and emails. Yeah, that's my reason. :laughing:

I also need to THANK all of those who support EA. YOU are the reason we are here and in this "dual edged sword" sort of position we're in.

We appreciate the business. Yes, we're certainly dedicated to offering the best value, quality and outstanding customer service. We treat our customers just as we like to be treated when doing business.
Once we get these build times under control, buying from EA should be a no brainer for most everyone!

I have purchased several items (box blade, field cultivator, landscaping rake, and subsoiler) from EA and even though there are design changes I would suggest they make, have been pretty satisfied with their products.

As for shipping I understand the predicament of shipping to residences, especially knowing most/all of us have pallet forks an could take the delivery. Everyone needs to remember many of us live in places difficult for a tractor trailer to pull up. Plus, we are not a business and may not be home when they would show up. Still, I wish there was an option for home to accept fork lift delivery without the extra charge for lift gate service..

As for free shipping to long distances in continental US, and that I am looking to relocate from NY to Washinton state, I vote that EA opens a new build facility in the northwest.

I can just guess that Ted has quite a few unfilled positions he would like to fill, job market is terrible
for employer, the best talent is being paid far more than they used to.

Real issue is do you hire someone who can't pass a drug test, say something light like pot. Lot of talented workers
can't get jobs because they party on weekends and can't pass the employment urine test. We aren't talking about CDL here, understandably strict rules there,
but what about a guy who welds mower decks all day, or runs a CNC cutter, and can't pass the employment test because two weeks ago he smoked pot on Sat night.
Now Ted can't comment on hiring practices online, but I bet he's discussed this internally. Most employers have. Huge demand for employees right now
in hot job market and how far do you relax standards.

In the past, you worked another shift, second shift, and in big manufacturing, third shift. Maximize productivity of facility.
I've been to Ted's shop, hauled a variety of items from it in my trailer across the state. Don't see third shift there.
Am assuming they are already working two shifts. If not, that's your answer. But you have to find enough talented employees to man
those shifts.
If any of you are employers, you sure understand this now.

with the exception of peeling paint jobs, which I've had on a lot of different brands implements,
EA's equipment is strong and useful. Equipment you figure to buy for life.
Heavy equipment costs money to ship and there is no pixie dust to make shipping free.
someone is paying for it. I think EA's marketing of reduced shipping costs is fair, just have to be careful how big
you make the word FREE because it sets up expectations that there seems to be many cases here of not being met.

Tractor trailer stops on quiet country road at end of my lane, I go pick up pallet with tractor and forks. Pretty sure I paid extra
for that last time. But driver was fine.

For those of us who live close enough to EA to go pick up our own equipment, honestly I'd not appreciate another 5 percent added to the floor price
of everything just to give someone else free shipping. When I think of how much gas my hemi sucked pulling a trailer across state, it provides a sanity check
for free shipping.

I really like Northern Tools but have found their shipping prices to always demotivate me from buying from them online. And their stores
are far away. I'm sure 95 percent of EA's goods are shipped out, so this is a big cost issue for them. I'm guessing the value of what they offer now is between
50 and 100 bucks out of their pocket per heavy item. So I wouldn't cost shame their program, it has a real cost to them.
And since costs are passed through to the end consumer, we are all surely paying for that marketing program.

One more thought.
You go to EA because the implements at Tractor Supply look like they will last one season before
they bend in use, because you intend to use things hard and want something heavy duty.
EA does heavy duty well. Heavy duty almost always means lots more weight.
Because the shipping industry charges by the pound, producers of heavy duty implements are
extra challenged to come up with meaningful shipping programs.
So I'll take the ship to dock requirement if I expect "free"

funny thing is multiple drivers have told me they'd rather come park on my road and look at beautiful farm fields than have to back into
some crowded dock downtown. So they charge me more, yet the drivers prefer this. Nice gig.

---I own multiple County Line implements, btw, and have bought an impressively strong British made chain harrow from TSC, so not knocking Tractor Supply
in general, their gear is built more to a low price point. But they have some good deals and are perfect for low hour use. I think my one bottom plow came
from there. Thing is a tank. It's the rakes and blades and rotary mowers that worry me.

we are all surely paying for that marketing program.

You know, the majority of our marketing funds go to TBN sponsorship. Not exaggerating whatsoever.
We hire no outside marketing company.
Aside from TBN, I post a lot in our Facebook group, Facebook page, Instagram, and answer questions on our YouTube Channel. I may throw $30 or so to boost a Facebook once or twice a month and we run a YouTube grapple clip that is really inexpensive, but nothing else costs anything.
We do not pay google anything or any other online company for annoying pop-up ads/banner ads, etc.

When hired, my job was simply to sell. I quickly started posting here in TBN, took over the Facebook account, took over YouTube comments, created the EA group on facebook, started receiving all of the emails submitted online. I try to make it fun for myself and all others involved. Enjoying what you're doing makes it so much easier.

EA's main advertisement is word of mouth by satisfied customers who many times receive better than expected. The number of online reviews is massive.
I am thankful for the following we've built and I hope we're just getting started.

There is nothing wrong with being Chinese and there is no reason for that type of statement in public or private. You can take exception with how China competes in the global market and that is understandable, but please refrain from ethic slurs of Chinese people just trying to make a living.

Read it again. Straw rake frames? Chinamen? They can only make straw rakes in China? There is no place for ethnic slurs. If you do not see that, it is indicative of another problem. I have never been one to sit by and be silent when anyone is disrespected due to race or creed.

Travis may have made a blunder under the "PC Police Rules" some people feel we need to live under in today's world, but he makes a very valid point about THE CHINESE PEOPLES REPUBLIC flooding us with cheap crap and being made with almost slave labor.
To me, that is a much bigger issue that you could of at least touched on in your moral outrage!
