Good morning!!!!

Good Morning. It's 71° here headed to 93° this afternoon.

We only had some very brief rains yesterday but, we were blessed with 1/2" Monday and another 5/8" on Tuesday. Glad to get it.

I mowed along our neighborhood roads yesterday so now need to resharpen the blades on the 84" rear finish mower.

I'm focused on getting in to town later today, to pick up horse feed but, primarily to go celebrate "National Chocolate Milk Shake Day" at the Dairy Queen. . Maybe ..... there'll be Cake?
I just hope they don't show me "the door" when I ask them about Okra Shakes.

If there's any daylight left ..... maybe a haircut. I want to look my best ... while mowing.

Drew .... that's very disappointing to take delivery of a new RV with such sloppy pre-delivery prep.

RNG ... good luck with your piston issues.

Kyle .... maybe you should have bottled the green Yuk from your CNC mill cooling and shipped it to Don?

Hoping everyone has an excellent "Friday Eve".

Prayers to all.

71°F and clear skies this morning, going up to 94° again today. Last day of the heat advisory, as we'll peak in the low 80s tomorrow.

I'll be having a regular ol' chocolate milkshake today, thank you. There is nothing about okra I find appealing.

Living in Cardinal Nation, it still seems weird that the Brewers are a division rival and the Astros are in the AL now. The Cards beat the BrewCrew in the '82 World Series, but now they're in the same division. Not sure anyone from the NL will be able to beat the 'Stros this year.

Claye, I have a friend who is hiking in Utah with his wife this week. He posted pictures on Facebook yesterday of some snow they encountered near Moab. Still two weeks of Summer left.

"Not sure anyone from the NL will be able to beat the 'Stros this year."

From your keyboard .... to the BB Gods' ears!

Good morning! Planted the garden yesterday then it rained 1/4". Planted cabbage, kale, broccoli, carrots, and beets. Just need to water extra every day for a while since they are still predicting 100s through next week, Fall is still a long ways off.

I will make the okra shake with frozen (non-breaded) okra and perfect the recepie (need to get more coco) but will need on volunteer to duplicate and test the recipe. Any volunteers here on GM thread?

Have a hearing aid SIG meeting with the computer club this morning to review the latest technology.

Drew talked to a costo ford dealership, have to show up at their dealership before any pricing is discussed and they are an hour away past 10 other ford dealerships and don't have the color I want for another 2 weeks. Starting to loose interest.

Good morning! Going to be putting down some geotextile fabric and spreading #5 gravel in front of my shop building this morning. It's going to get into the 90s again today so I hope to get it done before the peak of the heat!

Good Morning Everyone!!!!

Mpsmith- Welcome to GM, and I hope that you get your geotextile fabric gravel down before you start to bake. Good luck. Using geotextile material for our gravel driveway was one of my better decisions.

A humid 57ºF with rain/mist showers for today's low temp; 62ºF with light rain showers presently which may be close to today's high temperature. It will be a wet day, but nice and cool tonight/tomorrow. Today may be a good day to take a trip down to the "Big City" for supplies. We are seeing a lot of goldfinches flitting around our lower field and at the birdbath this year (unlike last year). I am thinking of setting up at least a thistle feeder; maybe more?. I have the "Daily Double" colonoscopy/endoscopy scheduled for next Tuesday morning:(. I start prepping Sunday :(. I anticipate really decent weather and I'll probably be sitting on a toilet.

RNG- I hope that the winds stay in your favor and you can continue holding and not using your water.;)

BEF- Good luck with the neurologist next week; and better luck trying to figure out my rambling. We did not get our first microwave until the early 1980's when we needed a convection microwave to cook with during our kitchen/house rebuild. We still have it and use it daily.

Bruce- I have not seen it yet; but I bet I will sometime soon. Brogen is a master at squirmy passive resistance getting his nails trimmed; but it's 3 on 1, he really does not have a chance.

David- Congratulations on your tractor and unexpected windfall BH sale.

I hope that everyone healthy stays that way and those mending and healing continue mending and healing.

My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers.

I'll pass on the okra. There are actually some juice shops down in the "Big City" that sell ground up green stuff "healthy" drinks. With a couple of jiggers of vodka added; I'd consider it.

I'm pretty sure there's no excuse good enough on earth to waste good spirits trying to improve any drink with okra in it. A little slime goes, er, way too far beyond the realm of resurrection.

I have a friend that keeps trying to get me to try his favorite green mess preparation as a hangover preventative/cure. Thank you very much is my reply to him, I'll just stick with the hangovers...:confused2:

TXdon, we use the Costco auto program as a price point. Add $200-$300 to the price you see when you do the build in Costco auto program, then use that price as the high water mark (don't pay more than that anywhere). Many dealers will easily beat the Costco price, but you have to do some negotiating. The Costco deal is best for those that want a decent price and no need to wheel and deal..

RNG- "Bottom Shelf" vodka only; stuff that comes in a plastic bottle that one can carry around in a brown bag and drink in some alley.
