Good Morning!!!! 75F @ 3:45AM. Sunny. High 93F. Winds light and variable.

I was going to open up the house overnight to take in the cooler air, but drift smoke from the 48,000+ acre Walker Fire makes that a bad idea. Enough is already getting inside that I'm sneezing.

I'm not sure there's enough chocolate in the world to persuade the average American to try an okra shake, Don. But for Drew's sake, and all the other okra farmers out there, I hope I'm wrong.

I spoke with a tech from the company that made the pistons in the red bike yesterday, who turned out to be something of a smart *****. I received conflicting info about what ring composition is OK to use with the plated cylinders, so I put together an email with some photos that will hopefully get a more measured response. My initial inspection after tear down shows light scoring on the cylinder bore, but I won't know until I try if honing will remove it. If it doesn't, there's a company that can replate them, but it's not cheap.

Off to town this afternoon for a haircut and errands; sure hope the wind shifts before I have to go out into it.

Good Morning! Another hot one unless some shower activity comes near. Did not get much rain at all yesterday. :( .44" for the last 30 days total.

Went to run a part on our older CNC mill yesterday and the coolant could have passed for a chocolate okra shake. So, I had to flush the machine and clean out the tank. Not quite done.

My friend from church has asked me to help him sell his Yamaha Golf cart. I plan to clean it up today or tomorrow and put it online. It would have been a good one for Don when he lived on his property.

Have a blessed day all. Prayers for our team.

Just to let everyone know fall is here. It was 31° this morning, the high mountains had snow on them yesterday morning. Yesterday high was in the mid 40's with some rain, today will be in the mid 60's and sunny.

I've been busy helping some neighbors work on a few things and trying to get my stuff done also.

I've been trying to keep up on what's good on.

Glad to see everyone with health problems are getting better and hope that continues.

Hope everyone has a nice day.
CWB.

Drinking first cup of coffee. 64° with rain this morning. Heading to 70° with cloudy skies in PM. Good trip to Port Huron yesterday. Return trip was not so good. Lot of heavy rain, flooding and traffic backups. Got 1.6" of rain. Family got together yesterday evening. Got most of the Thank You cards done. Couple more days and I should be able to get some seat time.

Kyle, I remember the get together we had Eddies. Someone did some okra. I did not care for it. The Drakes Batter that I provided did help a little.

Buckeye, sounds like you need to sign up for Meals on Wheels until you have fully recovered. Prayers sent.

LS, hope they come up with a good plan for your knee. Are you still working?

Scrambler, hope they get your patio cover put up right.

Good Morning All.

Good Morning All.
My wife says im eating more than well enough.

When i was in hospital, our church members brought food over every couple days so my wife didnt have to cook while visiting me.

My wife is an excellent cook, she just doesnt always keep much stocked ahead. But there is now plenty of soup in the pantry, and i havent had to get into the frozen burritos yet.

The yankee tiger game was rained out last night. Double header today.

71°F and clear skies this morning, going up to 94° again today. Last day of the heat advisory, as we'll peak in the low 80s tomorrow.

I'll be having a regular ol' chocolate milkshake today, thank you. There is nothing about okra I find appealing.

Living in Cardinal Nation, it still seems weird that the Brewers are a division rival and the Astros are in the AL now. The Cards beat the BrewCrew in the '82 World Series, but now they're in the same division. Not sure anyone from the NL will be able to beat the 'Stros this year.

Claye, I have a friend who is hiking in Utah with his wife this week. He posted pictures on Facebook yesterday of some snow they encountered near Moab. Still two weeks of Summer left.
