Good morning!!!!

   / Good morning!!!! #97,921
hot and sticky day, 76 going to mid 90's, windows all fogged up this morning.
Headed to food pantry this morning with load of okra and peppers,
then back to finish mowing lawn before it showers again this afternoon.
Prayers for Ron and Betty.

Rick, nice pic, now all you need is a mower to attach to it.

going to take the 1968 Cub Cadet out of storage, hope it starts, probably after filing points again, will take pics and then put
on CraigsList.

finding challenges getting the small rv I want. One brand can't build one until January, other until March of next year. Hot economy has RV companies building like mad, big
backlog of orders. Trying to find a unit with decent seats in living area, most are simply what I call boat cushions, a three inch thick slab of foam, horribly uncomfortable
after fifteen minutes, no back support, built to look good, not feel good to sit on. My choices have really dropped knowing I can't pick the Ford Transit
chassis due to lack of autoleveling.

Hope you all have a good start to the week. Toppop, hope you are feeling better this morning.

for you engineers...
I have several steel hooks to weld onto my loader bucket, same thing lots of you have done.
My stick welding is barely adequate.
For fun, I looked up the tensile strength of metal epoxy glue, rated at approx 5000 psi.
So if the hook covered three square inches of metal, does that mean the hook could actually pull
15,000 pounds in a straight pull? Side pulls?
Wondering if I should glue and then weld...belt and suspenders in case
my welds look like Carlsbad Caverns inside.

Other issue is metal thickness on bucket seems skimpy. Wonder what weakest link is here.
11K pound 4wd tractor with big tires possible to bend the whole thing. I think the hooks are rated at 15K also.

I'm going to wind up welding it of course but wondered if modern glues would actually work.
Also sure there are other forces/factors I am completely overlooking.

Actually, in real world, would not pull anything super heavy with loader anyway, that's what the drawbar is for, but
we all do things with loaders we shouldn't...

My .02, don't waste your time on glue. You would have to grind the paint off anyway to help it stick, and it will give at the worst opportune moment...

Got a few inside chores done yesterday. Helped the wifey with cleaning, daughter with studying about China's history. Strummed a few chords on the guitar.

Up early to get the kids off to school. Their 3rd day back. So much homework for our daughter in high school. She signed up for every hard course she could fit into her schedule. Not sure if she can manage it yet.

Astros finally won a game. What a skid they had....

Rick, Tell your gran daughter if she excels in school, and gets into a college of her choice, she can drive the vette.

My aunt's funeral won't be until Thursday. She was cremated, and her daughter couldn't get down here until tomorrow, if I understood correctly.

Have a blessed day all. Prayers for those in need.

Drew, you can also get bolt-on hooks for your bucket.

83 degrees this morning, going for 101. Since I want to stay in out of the heat, I've decided to use the Hoover steam vac on the carpets. I don't even know if they need it, but I'll see.

Good morning! It's 76° and humid this morning and forecast is for 96° this afternoon. This will be our first non triple digit day for over two weeks ...... and I'm not complaining!

Plan today is to work on cutting one pasture at back of the ranch that I didn't get to, back in the spring, due to all the rain we had back then. About all I've done is spray the fence lines on that one. It has lots of trees with low limbs so it's slow going with the big tractor.

BEF .... 4 days till the "Great Escape". The Texas Guard's Chinook is still on standby just in case RNG's fire truck doesn't work out. If need be ..... we'll sling lift you, your PT handler, and the fire truck out together.

RNG ... Texas Air Guard will pickup you and and the fire truck at 10 a.m. tomorrow. USAF ..... gettin' it done ..... since 1947.

Randy ...... I think I saw you've made it home? Great news and hope your recuperation is going well.

Ron .... you and Betty continue in our prayers.

Drew .... good luck with your RV search.

Hope everyone has an excellent Monday.

Prayers to all.

Coffee is done brewing. 66° with partly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 84° with partly cloudy skies. Got over 2.5" of rain Saturday evening until yesterday afternoon. Got some much need projects done yesterday. Hope to knock off a couple more today.

Drew, I really like the Mercedes based motorhomes. If you have problems with it though. Make sure you have a good road service plan that will haul it the long distance to a dealer that will repair it. Not having a tow vehicles would stop me from traveling and enjoying a lot of places. It did not take long for me to remove the bad couch and barrel chair in our motorhome. I put a set of recliners in mine and got rid of the booth dining area. With a credenza table and chair setup. Here is one company that does that kind of work. Have you looked at the Tiffin Wayfarer.
I made a bar that has 3 hooks on it. I welded that bar to bucket for extra strength. Could easily have been bolted.

Rick, Vettes got to be a girls dream. Our DIL wanted one when her and son got married. Still wants one. My wife liked to drive our 68 vette.

Buckeye, Randy and other recovering. Get better soon.

Prayers for all.

Good Morning All
