nice summer sale at Lands End online if you got their flyer. Ordered some new golf shirts, remembered to get the ones with pockets
for my sunglasses, and they were 16-18 bucks vs normally double that. I manage, after a while, to ruin my nice shirts, and they rotate into the work
shirt area, bring on the grease.

Headed down to Wilmington NC next week to visit a friend not doing well with cancer, and to look at a new rv.
Yeah, I might head West again this Fall or next Spring. Looking at Leisure Travel Unity MB, a small Murphy bed rv built on
smaller Ford Transit diesel chassis versus more expensive Mercedes chassis. No car to pull, looking for something super simple to operate.
About 25 feet, somewhat park-able. Canadian made, highly rated, looking for used also.
Only question to me is whether to have a slide or not. Leaning against it. Broken slide wrecked my last big trip.
Murphy bed arrangement opens up more floor space, not claustrophobic without slide.

71 outside this AM, heading into the 90's today. Took a big gulp last night as a big tstorm came through. Looks like over an inch, again, really fast dump of rain. Seems to be the pattern here abouts these last few weeks. Enough rain to where the pool chemistry is off. :( So, chemistry class needs to start again today. Been pretty fortunate so far this year. This will be the first adjustment since the May opening. Probably a good shock treatment will fix it back up.

Other than that, I have nothing..I see nothing...I hear nothing...LOL

Hope all are on the mends and have a great day. TGIF.

Good morning! High seventies to to high nineties and beyond for the next week. We are on the dry side of the tropical storm so dry hot winds from the NE are expected. My cucumbers are not doing well in the heat and may be finished by next week. They are wilting even though they are drip irrigated twice a day and are in the shade in the afternoons, just too hot. Okra, peppers and eggplants are still producing.

Buckeye I hope they figure out soon what is wrong and give you a pill (with no side effects) to make it all better otherwise you will have to go on a plant based diet - There, the thought of that ought to shock you enough to get well.:D

Plans for today are all pending a call from the pipeline intervention guy for a meeting. They switched company negotiators on me because they considered me difficult. I am. I'm not negotiating for myself, but for Mom, so hopefully the push for items on the agreement favorable to the grantor of the right-of way will be approved. The extra 20 items will not be approved but I'm hoping for half of them before they just take the land in court and give a dismal amount compensation. My cousin a few miles away has already hired a Lawyer. The company is on schedule to start laying 30" pipe by September. They have already been approved by the state and have their permits and eminent domain authority.

Fingers crossed for a favorable outcome.

I dealt with an electric company pushing an upgrade a few years ago. We lost. But it raised awareness of what an "upgrade" can mean. OMG.

Good Morning!!!! 72F @ 5:30AM. Mostly sunny. High around 100F. Winds SSW at 5 to 10 mph.

Well, Drew, you've certainly worn many hats in your day. Hope the heavy rains don't do too much damage in the garden.

Good luck with the pipeline, Don. Hope you can work something out without getting caught up in a web of lawyers. Nobody but the lawyers wins in that case.

The visit to the tractor dealer was something of a bust yesterday. No tractors to look at, the salesman new less about the 4000 series than I did, and all he seemed to want to talk about was price. I did meet the shop supervisor, a youngster that had just been promoted from combine mechanic, not exactly confidence inspiring. Nice, big, clean shop though, so there's a ray of sunshine. I'm supposed to send him the build list from the JD web site so he can put together a quote, and he's supposed to get a tractor with the same chassis but a more powerful engine for me to drive next week. Apparently there are five dealerships owned by this family, and they swap inventory around all the time. I'm not in a big hurry, which may be a good thing as the features I'd like to have don't seem to be dealer installation items and it could be a while before the factory gets a round tuit. I could also just lower my sites a bit and snag something off the used market, saving a bundle in depreciation and sales tax. But first I want to get a feel for the tractor itself, something that's impossible to do with a Youtube video.

I was able to pick up the parts needed to finish the ignition system on the big enduro bike, but learned that the allergist will need three visits to complete a new round of testing. I forgot to ask if he's having a swimming pool built at home.

TGIF gang!:drink:

Good Friday Morning. It's 78°F, clear, and humid this morning. We expect to see 98° this afternoon. As Don noted, we're on the dry side of the weather in the Gulf, so looks like more hot and dry near term.

I need to go get feed today, get a haircut, and exchange the grapple, on the 55 HP tractor, for pallet forks. I haven't seen it yet but, my neighbor has built a mega deer stand that he wants to move to his hunting area.

BEF .... hope the docs get this figured out soon.

Eric .... nice flowers! My "supervisor" gives me pretty specific instructions during wildflower season here as well.

Drew ....I suspect that the "KISS" principal applies to RV's also.

Hope everyone has a great day and weekend.

Prayers to all.

70°F and clear skies this morning, going up to 88° today. No rain in the forecast until next week, but the storm lurking in the Gulf will probably change that.

Wife said no skunk in the trap this morning, but the eggs she put in there for bait were gone. Guess I need to take a look at the catch, and clean it up a bit.

Good luck, BEF. Hope they get you back to normal.

LOL. I had all four in the trap before it sprung. They must be lighter than air. LOL.

Good luck with the effort. Maybe some WD40 is in order.

I’d be careful with lubricants. The smell could repel your target.

I use one of those green Scotch Brite scrubber pads on the trap parts that have to slide by each other to close.
