Long wait time for new(ish) tractor parts - the frustration continues

Sadly, Case has a bit of a history of not supporting their products very well. I think they are the best looking tractors. I love their shade of red better then any other brand out there, but after owning a Case bulldozer, and dealing with their lack of support, I'll never buy Case again. Super disappointing to read of all the problems you have had with your tractor, but I do appreciate the reminder about their lack of customer support.

 . . . Eddie . . .

Finally got the first of 2 quotes I am waiting on. Trade for my tractor. 2015 Case 55C with 350 hours for a new Kubota L6060 came in at $18,000. Kind of a hard pill to swallow when trading for a tractor that is basically the same capability as the one I already have. Dealer has had no luck pushing case on the one part we are waiting on. Still showing an estimated ship date of July 25th. I've confirmed that it is shipping from overseas. He is pressing them to air freight the part instead of slow boating it when available.

This may be an unpopular suggestion but have you considered talking to a law firm with corporate experience? I'm talking about some big dawgs to go after the manufacturer, not some little guy on a local basis. Your dealer is not at fault so it would have to be going after the MFG for a buy back if they can't supply repair parts.

Too much time, effort, and money to go that direction. Just going to have to make a decision on whether to bite the bullet and give up a pretty much new tractor and several thousand for another or hope the long string of repairs on this one doesn't continue. Would be nice if I could at least get Case to offer an extended warranty based on the down time of this one but I doubt it.

I'd be pushing for my State's Attorney General's or Consumer Affairs office to get involved. I'd be pushing for the company to buy it back at near 100% of the original selling price.

State AG, FTC, BBB and a letter (even from a local lawyer) certified to the CEO of the company and finally media outlets. Don't forget RFDTV as they have a lot of large corporations/ sponsorships. Good luck.

I don't have the time or patience to go that route. Would be a long drawn out fight that would be tough to win. I need a tractor yesterday. Talked to the dealer doing the repairs yesterday afternoon. Repair costs on mine are going to approach $8,000 so asked about absorbing some of that as part of the trade. Was able to negotiate a trade of $23,000 for the new Kubota L6060 and they cover all costs of repairing mine. That knocked about $3,000 off the deal so leaning that direction. With my repairs at $8,000 I'm basically an additional $15,000 to get into a new tractor.

Aside from the fact that you need a tractor, it seems like your sanity must be worth $15000?

$15,000 is a lot of money, but not being able to rely on your current tractor and needing one right away does make it sound like a good deal. Sounds like it's time to walk away from Case.

I don't have the time or patience to go that route.

For that kind of money, I would be MAKING time. Even if I decided to take the trade, I'd be pushing after the fact for a full refund. Consumer apathy in matters like this is how these companies continue to get away with it.
