What game camera do you have and do you like it?

My goal is critter identification in the yard. Do I buy a $75 Browning that's 12 or 14 MP or spend $150 and go from there?

I have 3 Wildgame Innovation cameras, on sale when I bought them for $49 each. They do good for the price.

Are you trying to identify WHAT critter or when it arrives? The reason I ask is I have over $400 tied up in a pair of wifi security cameras but that includes a large solar panel and a deep cycle battery. I get some pretty good pictures and videos off of them and I can monitor from my phone or PC.

When my yard and flower beds start getting torn up by armadillos I use a Harbor Freight driveway alarm to signal when they arrive. I got it on sale for $10. If I don't want to get up during the night I just turn it off when I go to bed. They will eventually show up while I'm still up and that is when they meet their demise.

I have the browning strike force cameras. They take good pictures, and pretty good video. I mainly keep it on picture taking, as video can go through batteries.

We’ve enjoyed or Browning Camera. It was rated well and we would also rate it well. We bought a nice memory card and do the short videos. The wife loves it too!

The one I'm looking t is $70 and is a Browning Command Ops 14 MP. I've heard it was a good camera but the reviews say it's good and well liked but that the more expensive ones are better. All I want to do is identify yard invaders and, if the need ever arose, a perp intent on no good.

If there is a perp up to no good you won't have any pictures of them. They will have a new camera though, lol.

I've been buying Stealthcam game cameras for a dozen years and really liked them, but they only last about a year being outdoors 24/7. Seems like the older ones used to last several years, but for more money, I'm getting less time out of them. Last year my wife found some no name brand camera on Amazon with 4 1/2 stars that was only $50. It took OK pics and lasted all deer season, but it's nothing to brag about. I tried leaving a review for it, but they blocked all reviews, which is probably how they got such a high rating. What I really hate about that camera is that it takes a micro SD card. NEVER EVER get a camera that uses one of those cards!!!!

Once the deer start growing their antlers again, I'll get another camera. I tried the Browning a few years ago and it wouldn't take night time pictures. I returned it to Amazon and bought another Stealthcam, that only lasted a year, but at least I got good pictures all deer season.

From what I can gather from the Texas Hunting Forum site, there isn't a decent camera out there for $100-$150 The really good cameras cost twice that, and there are so few people that have them that I don't trust their reviews.

Browning Strike Force or this Rexing. They also make very nice dash cams so they know their optics.

I have a moultrie 4 wildgame innovations and 4 primos. the primos are by far the easiest to set up ,the w i,ones are the most difficult. they all take good pictures and video and are all at least 4 yrs old. i also had a stealth cam but the door latches broke fairly quick. none of my cameras were over 80 dollars.

I have 5 Cuddebacks, 4 Brownings, 1 Bushnell, and 1 Moultrie that went out last week after 5-6 years. I keep all my cameras in lock boxes lag bolted to trees with python cable locks. I like Cuddebacks best because of faster trigger speed, Bass Pro had them on sale for 75 bucks and I bought 2 more. Caught a lot of trespassers over the years coming onto my farm hunting and fishing. I do not reside at my farm, but word has gotten around I have a lot of cameras, if I think they see the camera it won't be in that spot if they return. I leave them out all year and if you're lucky you get 4-5 years out of any of them. The cameras that go bad I put them in plain sight with just a strap on a tree, they don't know that they don't work, never had one taken.

I've got 2 Browning and 4 Primos cameras. The Primos have been very reliable, extremely simple to configure and take good pics. Paid $99 for them.

Between my brother and I, we have 24 cams, many varieties, wide price range. Just my theory but I think some Mfrs put timers in them to die after a certain usage. I now have about 8 in a box with problems, many to do with time and date and also some with damage by ants, (seems like ants find the innards very attractive.). Current favs are the Wild Game ones with 12 MP or better, they come on sale for under $100, (currently $75 at Can Tire) and are very easy on the AA batts. We have glued dummy radio antennae on broken cams and left clearly visible near farm entrance areas, never lost one, but fewer trespassers since starting using them.

Several years ago I bought a Moultrie $100+. Not long after the infrared filter would hang up. Checked online and a known problem. Banging on the side would unstick it.Then the color started to fade and now everything is black and white. I have a cheapo Stealth Cam I got for free from a safety program at work. It now takes better pictures than the older camera but can be seen at night.

Putting up cameras on public land is not very smart in my opinion. That’s where people feel they are free to take and in many cases it is legal. But if it’s your private land, and you think you have people trespassing, get a dummy camera and put it in plain sight. Get a decent $100 camera and put it on that dummy camera out of reach and catch the bastiges. Fun fun fun.

That's a good idea
I have cameras around my house and can see all of them at night if one looks. See all those IR LED's
