Good morning!!!!

72°F this morning and expected to drop to 66°F by about 10 a.m. when storms get here, then back to 72°F late afternoon.

We had an early round of storms about 4:30 a.m. with lots of lightning. The storms, later this morning, are forecast to bring us 2-3" of rain.

Spent entire day yesterday, on the Kubota ZT, cutting under big oak trees in one of our pastures. I finished about half of this 18 acres pasture but, I was hoping to finish this one before installing new blades on the Kubota.

Storms today, will halt any further mowing so, looks like good day to do ZT and tractor maintenance, in the shop.

When I mentioned that Texas Tech is in NCAA finals, against Virginia on Monday ....... I failed to note that the Baylor Ladies play Notre Dame for NCAA Women's Championship this evening.

Hope everyone has an excellent Sunday.

Prayers to all.

Good Morning!!!! 58F @ 5:45AM. Clouds and some sun this morning with more clouds for this afternoon. Slight chance of a rain shower. High 73F. Winds SSE at 10 to 15 mph.

You know you've found your home when it's where you want to be when you're anywhere else. Glad you found yours, Eric!

Pleasant temperatures yesterday for working in the garage, and just a few sprinkles. I did manage to get the heads off and decarboned; I have to find a box to pack them in today. Looks like I'll be under the van most of the day, replacing suspension bushings and checking the drive shaft alignment, then if there's time left, altering the spare tire carrier to hold a larger spare tire. Might even get the chanisaws out again, too.

Hope everyone enjoys the rest of their weekend.

Spent entire day yesterday, on the Kubota ZT,

Rick, either you are very tough, which is likely, or that machine is very comfortable, because bouncing and jiggling around for 8 hours is a
lot of exercise. I can't do it any more, seem to grow lawn potholes here, too much shaking for my neck.
But with a quality ride like that, it's just getting the work done.
Bet your place looks great now. ZT mowed pastures, doesn't get better than that...
Trees mean tree limbs which comfy cab tractors don't like so comfy ZT
is next best option.
Just be ever so careful in the wet. A close older friend of mine landed on his head in the pond with his ZT on top of him,
almost died, I have done an out of control amusement park teacups run that left me panicked thinking none of the regular stuff
works here...lot of folks still get hurt on these things and slippery and slope conditions are usually the culprit.

I would think an electric zt with four motors would be the cat's meow.
Joystick driven plus traditional handles/grips, offer both. Heck, throw in a steering wheel too.
They would all run on the same electric steering bus. This software plus gps is mature.
Battery must last 8 hours with 30 minute charge at lunch.
I'd sure be looking at that...and enjoy a ride at 20db quieter than normal. Ride without ear protection.
And no oil changes...

I liked Toppop's answer the best. Dedicated to someone very special, a some one you could never forget.
Any lucky girl who marries him will have to accept and treasure that also I think.
Though some times women get territorial. But if the competition has passed on, well
that's ok....;)

time for some quiet time on a foggy Sunday morning.

Good morning all,

29 and mostly clear, no wind. The weather guessers said it would be raining this morning. Well, they had a 50/50 chance of getting it right and barely missed it.

Prayers for all in need, have a good day.

The low was 27° this morning. Yesterday was partly cloudy and in the mid 40's with a cold wind. Looks like today will be in the low 50's with a mix of clouds and 20-30 mph winds.

Didn't do much yesterday. Was going to make a trip to Rock Springs with a neighbor but he decided not to go. I did get the table put together.

Ted .. Glad you got everything worked out on the truck. It's a shame that you had to go through that.

JMK ... Welcome.

Kyle .. I was thinking that most of the snow would be gone by now. But we still have 16-18 inches on the flat and 3-4 foot drifts. I'm thinking it may be around the end of the month before it's gone. But we will still have drifts well in to May. The pic was taken yesterday afternoon. That's the snow bank going to the garage it's about 3 and a half feet deep.

Hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday.
CWB.

Good Morning Everyone!!!

Too much coffee and started far too early this AM.

A mostly cloudy 29ºF as today’s low; a cloudy 38ºF presently; low 60ºF’s predicted to be today’s high temperature with increasing sunshine.

No signs of Spring yesterday on our drive south to Westfield, MA. We essentially traveled along the branches of the Westfield River. I had hoped to see some Shadblow flowers or skunk cabbage sprouting along the river banks. We did see some white water canoeists and kayakers running the river. We had a great time with Sis and Niece and surprisingly I did not foot the bill.

I now believe I know why we saw no goldfinches this Winter. Flocks have been decimated by a very contagious eye disease.:(

Ted- Great news; strong self advocacy including being a real PITA led to a + outcome. Sadly incompetency is the new established standard and customer service is just a “vague concept.” Your experience sobered me to what I have to anticipate when I replace the Tundra. I do not need a truck that large anymore. I saw a restored Subaru Brat/Baja(?) Friday. A new version of the old non-turbo model is probably more my “speed” nowadays; if they were available. I read somewhere some subcompact frames are being considered as a subcompact “truck.”

"…. Bups, I'm struggling to think of anything to pick that would have been better. Guess I am just boring - and very lucky." - Eric. You create a beautiful visual. Thanks I am drawing a blank myself.

"…. Funny how long I can lose time just watching life in and around "- Billy. I would not be happy living in a more developed home environment. I need to be able to mark my property frequently. I would probably get in trouble if I had neighbors. If I ever make it to living in a longterm care facility I would be watering all the floor standing house plants (or some corner near the soothing waterwall ).

RonJH- I am happy to read that your Aunt is regaining strength.

"…. You know you've found your home when it's where you want to be when you're anywhere else. Glad you found yours, Eric! "- RNG. It reads like you found yours as well. We are as fortunate as well.

Rick- You earned a day of rest. You are one tough hombre.

"….. I liked Toppop's answer the best. Dedicated to someone very special, a some one you could never forget.

I hope we all have some "quiet time" today

My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers

Drew, this particular pasture has so many trees, to go around, I can cover acres almost twice as fast with the ZT as either of the two cab tractors.

The Kubota ZD1211 has a significantly more comfortable seat than our previous John Deere Z820 mower.

IMG_0033.jpg

It has a 72" deck while the JD was 60" to cover more ground.

The Kubota is a rear discharge deck, so a bit cleaner to operate.

The Kubota is diesel, I have a bulk diesel tank. With the JD, I was hauling 25-30 gallons of ethanol contaminated gasoline a month in spring, summer, fall.

I get 10 hours of mowing per tank of fuel.

For the noise, I've got a set of 3M Work Tunes AM/FM/BT headphones, that I'm religious about wearing.

I cut around the edges of our two ponds with a Swisher Trimmer, that I bought at Tractor Supply several years ago ....... after almost capsizing a Kubota B2710 with a 6' belly mower.

Ellen lost her husband Don, three years ago to brain cancer, the four of us were friends, we met through the car hobby, so we had a foundation to begin with. But for a chance meeting last year, I doubt we would have gotten together though.

Yes I remember I think you mean Jay.

Thundering and storms all around. We had 2.5" of rain yesterday to knock the oak pollen down. A rumbling rain and 63˚F now.

Rick, the Texas Tech basketball team should be disqualified. We do not allow bonfires and flipping of cars in Texas. Disgraceful.
