Thanks to all for their gall bladder stories. I was wondering about the time to heal... Many phone calls to make tomorrow. I like to shop around on medical procedure pricing.

If faced with yet another procedure, I'd be shopping, too, but not so much for price. It would be nice to find a surgeon that is both in network for the medical insurance, and that has practiced enough to not screw it up...:laughing:

Hooked up solar fence charger to new electric fence running entire length of potato and collards field, zapped myself nicely, so that works though deer can jump right over it. Hoping from tracks I see they amble up to it and get zapped.

I think I told the story here before about the neighbor that ties metalized mylar streamers to her electric fence, then dabs a little peanut butter on the ends. The deer learn to associate the streamers with pain, and stay outside the fence. And after a while, she doesn't even have to reapply the peanut butter...

Way to many buttons to push....

Not much better than the smell inside a new truck to put a spring in your step. Ted. Hope it works out well for you.

It ain't how many buttons there are to push, but that you get the RIGHT buttons to push. One of the biggest complaints I read in the new car reviews is having to wade through multiple menus on a touch screen display to get to commonly used functions. I have the same problem on a newer radio with a touch screen: There's no ON/OFF or mute button on either the display or the touch screen, and I end up holding my finger on the volume down button until it's quite enough so I can hear whatever it was I needed to. PITA. Makes me wonder if you can still purchase "stripper" versions of vehicles without radios, fancy thermostat controlled heaters, and all the rest of that crap. That's because the second most frequent complaint is that the fancy electronics is buggy and unreliable, and much of the time all the dealers can do is shrug their shoulders and say "sorry, it's SUPPOSED to do that".:confused2:

Was thinking of getting a smoker, but probably should get air fryer. My triglycerides were high this week.

You’ll be pleased with an Air Fryer. An air fryer is just a small convection oven without the preheat time and energy requirements of a regular convection oven.

For instance .... the chicken drumsticks are 370° for 20 minutes. Your big convection oven would take 10-15 minutes just to preheat.

Bacon ..... 400° for 7 minutes.

Ribeye steak ...... 400° for 10-12 minutes.

Google “Air Fryer cooking chart” for other ideas.

Ours is the “Power Air Fryer XL” and the major parts go in the dishwasher.

My wifey is roasting broccoli in the oven

Never tried that, but today I sure ate a big helping of broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots that I cooked in our Pampered Chef pressure cooker. I just added about a fourth cup of water, dash of salt & pepper, and about a fourth cup of olive oil, put it in the microwave about 4 minutes, stirred it, then another 4 minutes in the microwave.

Long time ago,, when my wife brought home this Pampered Chef pressure cooker, I thought she'd just thrown away some money on a cheap plastic "Made in the USA" gadget, but it really does work quite well. I see one just like ours on Ebay and they call it a "Pampered Chef 2 Quart Steamer Rice Cooker Microwave Cooker".

Ted, I have a brand new bed divider for a recent Frontier hanging on my barn wall, great truck btw,
if yours came with the bed "system" but no divider. Would be glad to ship it to you.

so far the rain has been a bust, hardly washed the pine pollen off the truck.

going to be a parking lot vigil outside a hospital room in the hospital in which I was born in Doylestown PA, for a friend/Friend
in my Quaker Meeting, likely a day out of hospice, where hundreds of people from all the surrounding Meetings will
come holding and waving a daffodil. A symbol for holding someone In The Light, and what could be a cheerier
light than a bright yellow daffodil. My good friend will look out her hospital window and see all the waving flowers at 5pm.
She has kept in touch with me, as she had during my own wife's battle with cancer, asking me questions, bouncing ideas, which
I wasn't much help with other than being someone there for her.
All I can do is pray for a miracle.
But I have my daffodil cut and in a glass of water ready for 5pm.
If a lot of Love shown can't heal the illness, it can sure sooth the Soul.
