Some critter is dragging the food pan out of the deck box where I feed the outdoor cats. Last time it happened I found canine teeth marks. Didn稚 see any new ones, maybe a coon this time, not a fox.
...........................
Maybe young coyote.

Since I nearly always have a refund coming, I nearly always get my income tax return filed early. I wondered what the government shutdown might do, since I'd seen news reports about the IRS employees off and other news reports saying they were still working.:confused2:

So yesterday, I filed my income tax return about 10 a.m., using TurboTax Deluxe as I've done for many years. The automated response I got from TurboTax was that it would be sent on to the IRS Monday, the 28th (my 79th birthday). But then at 1:52 p.m. I got another email saying it had already been accepted by the IRS, and it also included the usual "tracking tool" which says I should receive my refund within 21 days.

And I'm not sure whether that tracking system is from the IRS or just from TurboTax.

I do my taxes the same way. But wait until after February 1. Did you get more back than previous years?

Good morning all. Late start this morning, actually slept in which is unusual for me.

26 going to mid fifties today in bright sunshine.
I'm headed out to the garden when it warms up a bit to cut more holes in the plastic.
If I'm really lucky my helper will show up later this afternoon and he can do it.
Now I know why the pros lay plastic in straight lines and plant in between the carefully spaced lines of plastic.
I, instead, made the whole thing solid and am doing cutouts.
Maybe not the best or most efficient idea but hopefully it will work well, and be usable for several years.

woke up in middle of night to sound of waterfall in my left ear. One more week of this and I'm headed to an ENT I guess.

Riptides, any way of reinforcing those panels this time? Clearly in windy spot, am sure you don't want to do this again.

I watched some drone videos on Youtube. Don't like all the noise they make, kind of obnoxious buzzy sound, of course right now that is made worse with my hearing. Wonder if someone makes a quieter one that's not crazy expensive.

I see lots of seat time for me. YES!
someone is seriously getting cabin fever and wants to get outside...;) I sure would.

Nope, the pension system lowered the withholding amount last year (I've forgotten why the letter said they had to do that), and my refund was actually less this year; however, overall I did pay a little less income tax on the same net income in 2018.
