Good evening all. 37F for the start, overcast and calm wind. Overcast started to thin mid-morning, moderate wind, and high temp of 49F. Chapel this morning, then make breakfast and kitchen cleanup. Rest of day was basically energy conservation, just stoke the wood stove.
You'all be careful in the snow and ice out there!

Drew have a good visit and safe trip home.
prayers for all.

How to stream:
I installed this 4mp IP camera with zoom in back of our auditorium yesterday. I run Open Broadcast Software (free download) configured to stream to facebook (use a stream key from facebook).
I import sound from our mixer / sound system.
On our Facebook page, click live video, like you are adding video to a post, then select stream video in OBS.
Anyone that is following your FB page will get notified you are going live, then can click on the link to watch. After you finish, click end, and the video is posted on your FB page like a normal post.

I also post sermon audio, now video also, on our church web site. I have been posting audio for over 12 yrs now.

Thanks for sharing. We need to do that for our elderly members. Used to, but not live.

Ed, prayers...and if by chance you read this, please set your private messages to email alert you. I would not like to have to dig through all the obits in your area again. :) Take care.

You guys be careful in that weather.

Buckeye, wow, put together nicely. Now if you could put it all in a Box you could market it to many churches for their home bound members.

We have several varieties of hot sauces in our fridge, and Cholula is one of them. We like both the original and the chili lime. Wife's favorite is called Happy Dogs ...

Help PJ, I need you to check the sauce label ingredients ASAP, as Max is getting worried. His mother is a Jack Russel, but not his father.

His dad's family, like that sauce, originates from Mexico and Chihuahua/Cholula do sound similar.
I tried to reassure him that was purely coincidental and he believed me - until he heard your wife eats happy dogs

Good morning. 14 and going to a high of 23F. Wind ESE 8 mph. Mainly cloudy with flurries.

I made a huge boo-boo on Friday. I forgot to get the mail (we are rural and the mail goes to a group box at the end of the road). There was a tag in the box for a parcel at the P.O. That would be my order from Bit of Home, which included about 4 dozen Bramley tarts. I didn't realize that they were shipped frozen. WOOPS! It looks like I will have lots of tarts to eat up over the next few days.
The P.O. opens at 8:30 A.M. and I intend to be there to rescue my tarts.

A fairly slack day today, just the PO run and then loaf around at home.

You guys that aren't accustomed to the snot and slop coming out of the sky stay safe.

Have a good day all

Good morning, I am feeling a little snow envy coming on, just hoping the rain here may be relenting today.

The weather certainly help make our tree hunt more memorable yesterday. A glimpse of blue sky lured us outside after lunch and the weather stayed kind - for the first 50 paces. After that the wind chased us across the first field and by the time we were through the gate into the next, rain was coming down almost horizontally. It was becoming a proper adventure.

It wasn't safe to go see the Christmas trees in the wood, although that didn't really matter as there were enough growing together in what was once my tree nursery for Ben to be confident he could select one that would keep his grandma happy. These trees nicely filtered out the wind and rain once we got downwind, which led on to a conversation about the planting of shelter belts. The grandson knew a lot more than I expected and also passed on to me his wisdom on tree planting for flood water attenuation (quiet a contrast in what an 8 year old learns nowadays, in my own school days all we did in autumn was trace & paint a few dried leaves !)

With a bit of help to get the cut started it took him only a few minutes to fell a small Nordmann fir with a Zubat saw. As we carried it back home the rain came down even harder. The drenching was more than compensated for by the sight of one of the brightest ever double rainbows. I don't think either of us will forget that day for a while.

Drinking first cup of coffee. 23° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 32° with cloudy skies. Nice day yesterday. Lots of sun. Stayed in and watched movies. PT this morning. Then will see how I feel after to make plans for the day.

Irv, nice new pup.

Wngsprd, good picture of fox. Have not seen a Red Fox here in years.

Eric, good tree story.

Looking, hope your tarts are going to be OK.

Those that got all the snow stay safe.

Good Morning All.

27 going to 39.

The local weather man said this was the biggest December snow here in over 100 years...everything is pretty much shut down. I saw a snow plow going down the road about an hour ago, though, so things will improve, but one weather lady said she thinks schools may not open until late this week, since it will be in the lows 20's at night and refreeze the melted snow. It almost seems as though the newer buses can only drive on totally dry pavement. They actually closed schools due to rain one day last year...they may have to shift the school year to summer rather than winter. :) Okay, I admit that safety is paramount.

Eric, great Christmas tree adventure!

Looking4new - we like tarts, too...sounds like you need help eating them all.

BEF, great set-up you did at church. I've forgotten to check to see if you've updated your Ohio history thread.

Don, sounds like you've found a really great retirement neighborhood to live.

Ron, we never see gray foxes here, but red foxes are very common.

Well, after all the fuss we only got an inch or so on the ground before it got below freezing. Probably had 2-3 inches worth fall but it melted. I did put melter on all the steps and decks.

Buppies and wngsprd you guys got it good!

Drew I don’t know what you got up at the DE beaches.

I’ve gotta get moving, great day all and God bless.

Wngsprd, at my old place there were a pair of foxes for years, in the thicket across the field, the male was a large gray. The Kitts were almost always red.

When I was baling hay in the 80's there was always a gray fox or 2 that would show up to collect mice and other rodents. They had no fear of the equipment. Get off tractor and they were gone. They may still be here. But I never see them. Other animals I never see any more are Badgers, Blue Racer snakes and Rattlesnakes. There are more homes then when I moved here. But there is still a lot of open land.

Good morning! 32˚ heading to 59˚ sunny no wind.
Got an email from the Hiking club that says we will have a trail maintenance work day for Wednesday when temps will be above 60˚. I still can't believe they call it "work" - I need to wd40 the loppers and locate the gloves.

Eric what a tree memory. You did get pictures right!

I'll have to try "Happy dogs" sauce. Sounds . . . happy. But is it a mild hot sauce? I still want to be able to eat without sweating.

Randy and Ron, although we only see reds here, down in Southeast Virginia where I do a lot of hunting, all I see is gray foxes, never red ones.

My mom goes through skids and tennis balls on the back two legs of her walker really fast. I need to find some resistance wheels for the rear of her walker. She does not like the walkers with brakes because of arthritis in her hands and she feel like it will "get away from her". If anyone has heard of such wheels that can be mounted on a walker let me know.
Thanks

I put skies on my mothers walker. Better than wheels or tennis’s balls on rear legs.
