What type of wrench should Kando use ..... to put the new plug in?
An open end wrench or a good adjustable wrench. If he had either to start with this thread probably wouldn’t exist.
Old school pipe dope?
TSC travellers/cam2 promax/wally supertech and GO!
Weather lately hasn't been cooperative to making me feel up to doing anything. Alternated rain and snow 4 times in an hour yesterday morning haha
I've met a few of them. Called themselves 'plumbers' or something.
It's penetrating "fluid." Different than "oil." Thinner and more able to penetrate where regular oil cannot. So, yes, penetrating fluid CAN make a difference.
The "sticking" isn't likely so much "rust" as it is from metal galling. No matter, there will be microscopic spaces, and very thin fluids work very well in being able to get in such spaces. Applying heat and then the fluid will help facilitate the drawing in of the fluid.
Have you tried Kroil instead of PB blaster, etc.? Kroil is one of my first go to items for stuck stuff
Penetrating-Lubricating Oils
Kroil is creepy like that.I put some Kroil on a part that was hopelessly rusted stuck but it wouldn't budge so l forgot about it. On a lark l checked a month later and it came apart easily. So, even when Kroil won't work, it's still working.
