Rounded off drain plug

Yep, and that's the great thing about this (and other TBN threads)... others can learn about other tools. That Knipex looks interesting.

I tried to keep my posts regarding fried1765's repeated calls for using a pipe wrench to a light-hearted banter. I guess we won't know until Kando finally gets around to doing it.

Pipe wrench? That sounds intriguing. Did I miss that post? Wagtail perhaps you could recap or offer an opinion?

Nothing to miss Mate. It's old technology used back 'in the day' before PVC pipe.

Today's tools can do what the pipe-wrench of old (unless, of course, you've got a "quality" one hanging from your peg-board)((gathering dust)) did, plus a whole lot more!

I never saw anything about using a pipe wrench either :confused3: Too bad no one suggested it, it could have shortened this thread considerably. :D

Old tech???

A pipewrench is still a VERY frequently used tool.

Perhaps not for the average homeowner....but still a staple in industrial trades. Millwrights, electricians, pipefitters, mechanics, etc.

Don't know what grudge you have against pipewrench so....perhaps you have never used a good one?

I am guessing they are just not as common down under.

You do understand the concept of tongue-in-cheek humour, don't you?

Same as my response to Big Barn. As was Big Barn's comment that I responded to.

Lighten up.

I've got two. I inherited them from my Father and I remember him having them in the 1940s. So they must be pre WWII

I thought the banter was FUNNY!

Anyone here expecting a serious discussion has come to the wrong thread at the wrong time.

That was the first few pages.
