Kyle, pretty sure the passivation won't hold up at temperatures high enough to make the metal glow, but you shouldn't get anywhere close to that unless you like charcoal for dinner.:laughing: Once you get the grill "seasoned" with drippings, that should keep it from rusting anyway. Watch out for those edges on the expanded metal! I use the same stuff in the floor of the bead blaster, and it'll slice open a finger before you know it if you give it any chance at all.:shocked:
