Yanmar YM2000
Trying to get an idea of what to ask for my YM2400 with 5 ft Bushog. It has 175 hours on the meter and it only had 4 when I got it. Had the fuel pump rebuilt recently but that is all I have ever had to do besides change the oil.
I'm in West Georgia area.

There isn't a YM2400. Maybe a YM2420, or YM2500, or YM240D? Is it 2wd or 4wd? Does it have a loader on it?

someone has rolled that meter back, installed a new meter, or the meter has rolled over

Profile says Ym2000. My guess just a typo. Typical for me with all my arm and hand injury's. If it's not on there look on ATL. CL. Farm and Garden and you can get a good idea what to ask. You can tell from Ridiculous to a good asking price. Remember and most know this go high on your price. Easy to lower it but hard to go up. If you want to sell it..

it has a rolled hour meter or its a recon with a rolled meter. No way you bought a 30 year old tractor with 4 hours on it. No way an almost 40 year old tractor only has 175 hours, maybe 1,175 or 2,175? Also i guess you mean injector pump? Like others there is no 2400 but we will assume like Carey said a typo. We need to know if it has a loader, that can bump you up a thousand or more dollars easy. From your model number there is no D so i assume its not 4wd unless that was accidentally left off? Drop back in and give some more info and a pic and i bet we can price you within $500 of where you need to be easily.

Yep typo. It is a YM2000. It was a grey market that I bought in Atlanta from a dealer. No accys on it. I bought a 5ft Bush Hog for it and yes it was the injector pump. Only has 2whd . Let me see if I can add the picture. 574511_4024121954114_873783737_n[1].jpg

Is it from Spalding?

Do you still have that Spring tooth harrow? Want to sell it?

As for the tractor value with the bush hog? I would say $3000-3500 max? Help me out Carey, that's your back yard. Keep in mind you can buy a Fredericks refurb with a warranty for just of $4000 right now and then a bushhog on top of that .

4 is about right IMO.. I gave 2800.00 for mine 11Yrs. ago. Used ASIS. And I like the Yanmar Decal it has the same one that I do. I don't see that often. The one's I had in my shed Clemsonfor that I took off. I wouldn't take anything less! But that is Tractor and BH.. When I say 4 that's would be the lowest so ask 4.800$. Just a tractor at Fred. is 5. Had a YM2500 steve cut us a deal on. And when I say A deal the tractor New Referb. wasn't a whole lot more. So that's up there. But then again who it was for was a big factor also. Property of retired Catholic Priests they just moved to LOL...... So keep that in mind also.

That is a nice looking tractor, and I agree with Clemsonfor and Carey on the price, since it is 2wd

your right a YM2000 is now up to $4,999. I still think though $4000 may be tops, and that's with the BH.

Thanks guys. Not sure when I'll put it on the market but probably next month. Think I'll ask $4500 and haggle.

I'm in GA and listed my YM2000 for $3500.00 about a year ago.

It's not as clean as yours, has a new clutch with less than 5 hours on it at the time, and stored under a shelter. I had well over $500.00 in the clutch, pressure plate, turning the flywheel ETC and did the labor myself.

As previously stated the hour meter is only there to help with maintenance schedule. They roll over at 999 hours so nobody knows the true hours on their YM2000.

I listed it on FaceBook, CragisList ETC.

I never got a cash offer over $2000.00 so it's still sitting under my pole where it's likely to remain.

A tractor this size really needs to be 4x4 to improve usefulness and that seem to hurt resale vale.

I bought a kubota but decided to keep the yanmar. It's worth more to me if it sits under the shed than to let someone have it.
I find myself still using the yanmar for many projects where I can't get the kubota because of it's size

People these days don't understand that a 2wd tractor is still usefull. The Ford N tractors were all 2wd. Now they had more ground pulling power but really no more for mowING than we do. Many a family mad a living with international Cubs that had less HP and we're also 2wd. But most folks this is lost on them. I am only 36 but I remember my grandparents generation still working those tractors all the time to put in gardens and mowing.

like when 30-40 hp tractors without loaders, HST, shuttle shift, etc, tractors did all the plowing and work.

I'm a few yrs. older than you "quite" clemsonfor and can actually remember my Grand Father's pulling Horse "Trigger" which was put to pasture when my grandfather purchased his N.. He was the boss @ the mines and new quite a few folks. I have the N put up and very few Know it's a Conversion Funk. Yup! Told my uncle to put it up before he passed away.
If I had a loader on my 2wd. YM 2000 it would have be 4wd. But I use it mainly for mowing. My lawn mower LOL. If I would need a Loader I would and have just rented a Bobcat. I use a JD 5103 2wd. with a JD. Frontier loader if I need it. In almost 15yrs. never hit this property yet.......

Treedawg, I'm in WarmSprings and have a good friend that lives in Adrian. I really need to sell this thing as I have no place to store it when we move.

Hit that reply to the Min. Lewjay. I am in Ga. also Athens area. Been keeping up with Yanmar for a long time. Most any are a hard sell but if yours is as in good condition as the Pic. you can get good money for it. But it going to take someone that knows what it is and then pay it. Way to many options now days. JMO... Put it in a shed Etc. your wish you hadn't.............

Get ready for low ball offers. I'm sure you can sell but the question is how low are willing to go in order to get it gone. One guy made a decent offer but he wanted me to finance which I agreed to but he couldn't come up with a down payment.

Adrian is about 30 minutes from here. Does your friend in Adrian have a use for a small tractor? I'd rather let a friend have it for a ridiculously low price if it came to that.

If your tractor was 4x4 with a FEL you could almost name your price.

I don't think you will get an offer anywhere near $4500. The right guy might be there at the right time. I personally think a best offer may hover somewhere over the $3000 mark.

I think this is a recon tractor?
