Hi,

I found a johnson loader that will work on my ym2000. The only thing that I am concerned about is the rear support. I have seen on my ym155 there is a support running to the rear of the tractor and mounts to the rear wheel area by the brakes. Is this needed for the ym2000 ? Should I be concerned about cracking the bell housing without it ? If someone can send me photos of their ym2000 and the rear supports, if any, with a loader, that would be most helpful

Hope this helps, I scored an older Yanmar YFL1500 from a 336D for $800 a few weeks back. Granted it needs some things replaced, like hoses and the control valve, but oh well.

Anyway, obviously a 336 is wider than the YM2000. I personally have a YM2000BD.
I took inspiration from California’s photos he has posted here, and some other photos I found online.
With these different mounting ideas, I put them all together sort of and added it to the existing cross member off the 336D.

Perfect. The last shot was exactly I was thinking about.

Thanks all.

So here is my YM2000BD with a YFL1500 off of a 336D.
Obviously the bucket is quite large. I am for sure going to take the top 1/3rd of the bucket off and weld a new top on to reduce its volume. I also am still trying to decide if I want to go through the hassle of making it more narrow as well. That is a little more work due to how the pins go into the loader bucket, and being able to cut through and re-weld the sides onto the cutting edge.

My plans are to also go through the bearings on the front axle, to ensure they are all right and in good shape, add spacers to front and rear to help with the width of the bucket, and also fill the rear tires with water/antifreeze.

Good work. Only an opinion but I wouldn't recommend spacers in the front. Thinking it would put to much strain on your front axle assembly.

I’m also on the fence with the same thoughts. The only other option would be to do the turf tire kit from Hoye, making it lower and wider.
